Hey MK: I just feel so run down and down in the dumps all the time lately. Today feels like the pits and I just don't know why. I just feel like breaking down and crying.

JO: yeah it is my job a little bit. Plus trying to put finances in order...that's just a big mess.

MK: I'm on the phone with him now. Wish he were here to cuddle and hug me. Wish I had some cake to eat.

I hear you on the finance thing. I'm not really stressed about finances, but I worry about it nonetheless. You just never know. Good think you have your fiance to help you though it. And you will get through it. That's something that keeps me grounded. Life is fluid, it won't always be like this....

Mere, are you still liking your job? Is it too much with school? You are still in school?

Jo: luckily school is over for the summer and I still LOVE my job but my only deal is just trying to balance everything that I have to do in my life. My dad is at risk of being cut from his current job and since I still live with my parentals I don't want it to feel like I'm the only one working in the house (which it will if my dad loses his job). Its going to be even harder for me to pay for my skating and pageants, two things that I don't want to give up on. But I'm jumping ahead of myself too fast (learned that very quickly recently), I do that a lot, all I think I have to do is take one thing at a time.

MK: I'm so happy to have a fiance like him. I feel very blessed. Its so good to have someone that I can just go to with my issues and he can take the time to give me a good hug and to listen. I cannot wait til you guys meet him at Hershey in a month. He really is an awesome guy!!

Just got in from DS's Jiu-Jitsu class. The drive back was an awesome sight. There was quite a lightning show going on in the sky! Good to be safe and sound back in the house.

Kitty, I saw that $10 sale and sure wished I could have taken advantage of it. Glad you are getting to! I think that it would be so much fun to do a solo trip. Have a great time!

I didn't think you were coming back tonight. You definitely have to prioritize what is most important to you. Make a list of what you really want to spend your money on. After bills, it seems as though the pageants and skating are very important to your happiness. Put them near the top. And once those are taken care of, everything else is just gravy. If it happens, that great but if not, you know that you've done what is most important to you.

Marie!!! Hey, how are you doing? I love lightning storms. I sit by my big front windows and just watch. It's some of the best free entertainment I have around here.

Hey Jo! I'm good. I love stormy weather too but our house is so well insulated since it is an earth shelter that half the time I don't even know there is a storm even going on. There were some really cool clouds mixed in with all the lightning tonight so it was really pretty.

Just chillin and relaxing. Kiddos are in bed and DH is sleeping so I'm enjoying some "me" time for a moment.

Our house is on a hill so we can get a good bird's eye view of all the storms. Too bad we haven't had any good ones so far this year.

Ahhh, the elusive "me" time. Mine, is still up too. Doing her own thing but still right here with me. The only time I have total peace and quiet is early in the morning before everyone else wakes up.

Mere, I have 4 kids and only DH works. I make lots of lists. There were a lot of years we didn't do any kind of extras/trips except to our local amusement park. And that was after 5pm when it was half price. But there were lots of other things that were more important to us. We had to get our finances under control so we cut out things that didn't really matter. We found that a day in the park with a picnic lunch just as fun as blowing tons of money taking the whole gang to the movies. It might sound sad but when there are 6 of you, it really adds up.

Marie, my "me" time is late at night or right after the kiddos go to school. And that is limited because I try to get some cleaning done while they are gone. It's just so much easier to do it that way.

Hello dear friends!

Things here are going ok...just adjusting to two kids. My mom went back home on Saturday and I'm torn between missing the help yet enjoying the stress free environment (my mom and I aren't always on the best of terms). Elowyn is doing well. She still has some eating issues sometimes, but not near as bad as before. We switched her to a different formula that helps with spit up which I think has been helping her...though she still occasionally throws up. The EARLIEST I could get an appointment for her to be checked was the beginning of June. Rylan is just loving her to bits with his hugs and curiosity. He's become quite an affectionate little boy since she's been here. Even came up to me and gave me a big hug while I was on the floor picking some stuff up. My heart just melted! I'm healing up nicely and I'm enjoying being able to see my feet again. I've been getting the chills a lot lately and still have trouble with my blood sugar (I had gestational diabetes) so I've been careful with what I've been eating. Otherwise, aside from the lack of sleep, I'm good!

Anyway, here's my little cutie...taken on hospital discharge day!

Now what's this I hear about MK going to Disney and not taking us with her! Tragic! (but really, MK, I'm super excited for you...what an amazing deal!!)

Mary, I am so glad you checked in. I have been biting my tongue not to talk about how absolutely adorable both Elowyn and Rylan are. You truly have been blessed with 2 of the most beautiful children I have seen. I'm glad Elowyn's feeding issues are getting better. My middle DD could only tolerate one brand of formula....everything else made her vomit.

Take care of yourself and don't forget to check in here when you have a moment. We do miss you.

Mary, Elowyn is an absolute beauty! They are so sweet when they are newborn.

Jo, I know how expensive it can be for 4 people so I can only imagine how expensive it is to take vacations for 6. I bet it certainly brings out the creative planner in you. Gotta say that while 2 is plenty for me I have always been in awe and admired parents who have families larger than my own. Anyway, you are right though. Sometimes something simple is just as satisfying as spending a lot of money.

WELL LADIES, the paper is finished. I printed it off earlier and have been going over my notes for the final. Bad news, summer classes started yesterday. It has been a busy few days.

B. you almost had me wanting to drive to airport after exam tomorrow!! Last minute trips are the best! DH and I have been known to fly off to have lunch and come home that night. I am very happy for you.

Mothers day was cute here. I had so much work to do that the kids organized the study for me while I worked and purchased dinner and brought it to me. we all sat it this small space and talked for hours.

Jo, Deb, Ev, Martha, I'm firing up the Batmobile! Oh, wait!, I did that already!
