Morning! Its pretty sunny out there, but we did get some snow last night. Not too bad though.

I'm planning my last minute everything tomorrow. I'm going last minute shopping in the morning, then hitting Sam's Club to pick up goodies for next week. I have to pick up some pajamas for my nieces and a book for my younger nephew. Stopping by Bath and Body works for a stocking stuffer for my SIL. That's all I really need to get. But will keep my eyes open for any good sales out there.

Just trying to convince myself to shower next. ITs just so hard getting out of that nice hot shower...and drying my hair. Ugh. I hate drying my hair.

If any of you have daughters interested in young adult fiction (AKA Twilight or Hunger Games), I'm presently reading Matched by Allie Condie. I love it and should be finished with it tonight...and then I"m going to probably read it over again. Its another post-apocalyptic tale, where society is highly regulated, including your spouse. Every person is MATCHED to their mate and for the heroine, Cassia, she's matched with her childhood friend. But she also glimpses another possible match...I can't tell you much more, because I haven't reached it yet but its so so good so far! Recommended!
That sounds like a good book. I'll have to check it out.

Emptying your panty could be fun!! ;)
:rotfl2: I am really sorry I missed that "mistake". :lmao: Even sorrier that Pikester missed it too. :rotfl2:

Arrrrggggggg!!! UGGGGGG!!!! GRRRRRRRR! KICK, SPIT, SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is how mad I am at DH right now... (fussing at ME over spending too much, but half the time it is all the junk he asks me to pick up.) GRIT TEETH!
I hear ya. Think they just think the house fairy stocks everything for them. :sad2:

If anyone has any space on their prayer list for another health problem, pray for my FL friend. Dr found a 4 centimeter aneurysm on his aorta. The heart dr will have to decide the next move.
Always room for more prayers.

My wonderful sister announced earlier this year that we would not be exchanging gifts for the nieces and nephews this year. Not because they are tight for money or anything but because quote "Her kids don't need any more of those toys". While this was typical of her, (but not unexpected ) I found it quite rude of her to tell my brother and I this because SHE is still getting toys for them and told my mom which toys to get for them this year. Plus, her cheap husband will just turn around and sell them on ebay anyway. (At least that's what we think he does.:rolleyes1)
So I went out yesterday and found some real annoying low cost toys to give to my nieces and nephews.

Oh goodness, D, what a lovely thing for your sister to teach her children. I can understand having too many toys, or wanting to help others in need, but to claim no toys just due to the "quality" of the toys? I feel bad for the kids who aren't really learning the true spirit of giving and thankfulness.

My younger niece and I had an indicident about it once. She was visibly unappreciative of the gift I gave her. I asked her, "and what did you get me?", and she was embarrassed. I told her that I had taken the time to pick out a gift that I saw she would enjoy, but if she didn't she's not the person I thought she was. And I took it back and threw it in the garbage. She's made it a point to thank me and everyone since for their time and thoughtfulness.

ah, the joys of Christmas.

Hello everyone! I think I'm back.
What a week. First..Fri we get a cpu virus. Tried all weekend to get rid of it. Had to take it in. Since it would take 7 days to fix (maybe) I fixed up our older cpu. Two days later it had a virus. :headache:
While this was going on our new heater wasn't putting out heat on Tues. At least no cost as it was under warranty. Weds the garage door spring broke. This all happened last week.
We found out we get irritable without our cpu.:rolleyes1 We traded the older cpu towards a new laptop. While on the DIS after replying to a PM I lost internet connection. Seems our router went out.
Right now the de-virus cpu is directly connected and I'm on the laptop going wireless on someone else's connection.

Glad to read we have a new little TKer. :)
JOCAmom- So sorry to hear of your trouble with your son. Hope your MIL gets better.:flower3:

It's not the thought that counts anymore.

I ventured out to KMart. They did not have the combo DVD for Shrek so I would not buy Despickable Me from them. It started flurring but only sticking in some places. Near my house on the main street there was an ambulance and police car just pulled up. There was a little red car on the sidewalk on my side of the street facing me and a car near it in the parking space. The red car was all the way on the sidewalk...actually maybe 4 inches of the tire width did not fit. Thankfully, the house had a raised porch. It was several houses from the corner. I don't know if the car slid when it turned the corner or what happened. I was thankful I messed around in KMart a little more.

Hey Kathy...saw you snuck in while I was writing my post. can't you do anything without complications? Hope things go better now.

JO posted on FB that her MIL had surgery and all JO knows is she may be paralyzed. FB doesn't like me and I can't post there now.

Don't feel bad M...FB doesn't seem to like anyone lately...it's been throwing my off all afternoon. Can't get caught up on my scrabble games.

Doesn't sound like things are going well at JO's we'll have to send a :grouphug:

D ~ Always love your sister stories...my sister is a pain being a Princess but I don't feel so bad when I read the crap yours is always pulls!!

OMG Kathy! Sounds like you have gremlins in your house! Hope it all gets sorted...until then, keep away from the electronics. Seems like you have a revolt on your hands!

Oh, poor JO and family. Sometimes there's residual effects of the surgery, but once inflammation goes down, those effects may not be apparent anymore. I so hope that is the case....

M...you be careful out there! Its not even you and Patrick, its the others out there!

I had a runaway truck take out my front hedges once. So glad that I'm set back a little bit from the road. But my living room is perpendicular to another road, so God forbid something comes from that direction at the wrong speed, I may have someone jumping the curb and onto my couch....

What is it about sisters? My older one (when I consider her part of the family) is a doozy too....

Yeah, sisters can really be a piece of work.
And the gifts I bought for my nieces & nephew aren't that annoying - ZuZu Pets and Nerf Dart Gun. I know they'll like them and I want them to know that auntie Deb loves them. :lovestruc

I can't get on to FB:confused3.

DL55 - Glad to see you back here. Those darn viruses (viri) can be pretty nasty. I just sent out your card this morning. And since I didn't have a last name I just put DL55 on the front.

They seem to be making a lot of changes on FB suddenly...like getting rid of the "comment" button...I guess everyone gets thrown off when they make the changes.:confused3

I just tried to post on FB. It disappeared. My animosity towards FB grows...

I never know when fb will not cut off. And then when I can post, it sometimes stays grey and does not really post. It's just how it works for me. I blame my slow connection. I know I keep saying about it but do not want the fb tkers think I am ignoring them. It's nice to post there for things you do not want where anyone can see it.

Off to breakfast. Going to Mom's early for shopping and eating lunch at Bird-In-Hand. For our favorite waitress, would you just give her an extra tip for
Christmas or put the mmoney in a money holder Christmas card? I thought she may have to declare the extra tip but not if it were in a card.

Good Morning TKr's wanted to drop in and say a quick 'hi'

One More Day......

I will try to get back later. I have the crew coming this morning and I have to drop off my machine in town to get it serviced while I'm gone...oh yeah, then I gotta pack and stuff. Hopefully while I'm gone the elves will wrap the gifts.

Happy Birthday---D&D!:yay::yay:

Sorry but I cannot get the smilie site to open. So I guess it's nothing fancy--just a plain old greeting. Fingers are crossed that it posts!
Have a great day.

Bopsmom Have a great trip!

One benefit from not having a working computer..I got a lot of housekeeping done. :rolleyes1 The oven hasn't been this clean in months.

We actually had a little rain this morning but the sun is out now.

:bday: Happy Birthday D...Hope you had a great day.

Made it to Kitchener to finish my shopping...2 hour drive, 4 hour commando shopping, 2 hours drive back...now I'm beat.

DD is at her first HS party.:scared1::scared1:

I'm home with a scratchy throat, runny nose, and freezing. Feel like I'm losing my voice too. Just tried Zicam at the pharmacist's recommendation. YUCK!!!!!!!!!:sick::sick: It is some nasty stuff. Don't know if I can handle it every 3 hours. And nothing to eat or drink for 15 minutes after taking it. I think they do that to torture the patient.

I can NOT be sick! I don't have TIME to be sick! I have to sing on Sunday. I have to work on Monday. Christmas is a week away.

So, where is everyone tonite?

Hi Wendy!

DD is at a HS party! Poor Wendy.

Yes, and my tomboy daughter, who NEVER cares what she looks like, had to straighten her hair, fuss about what shirt to wear, and was even looking for lip gloss!:scared1::scared1::scared1: I am so not ready for this stuff.

Oh, and DS has decided he wants to ask out a girl from church. Ummm, hello? He's 13. She's 12. They see each other once a week for an hour or 2. He is so NOT going to "hang out" with her at the mall or go to the movies. a) he's a juvenile delinquent wanna be, b) she's known to have "sticky fingers", and c) did I mention he's THIRTEEN????? But hey, his father thinks it's just peachy, no problem. Ya think maybe that's why he's my EX???

You can't make this stuff up...

Wendy, welcome to life with a teenage daughter. It's moments of awesome and hell all wrapped up in one big package.

Can't help you with DS. We don't let ours out of our sight.....fingers coated with super glue. And I may be old fashioned but 13 is just too young for me. Jackie is almost 15 and I have a hard time with knowing boys are interested in her.
