Hi everyone! This is DL55's daughter, house sitting while they're away. Mom called last night to tell me they cancelled the flight to HI last night, so they're staying in Phoenix. I think they're on their flight already (at least, I hope so this AM). Just wanted to give everyone a head's up!

Good morning ladies! Sorry I tossed out on your last night. BF's tummy wasn't feeling too well. I can't throw stones though...I'm a terrible sick person too.

But I discovered the joy of the Kindle! I finished reading Suzanne Collins The Hunger Games last night. I LOVED this book. I took a while to get to it, but I'm so happy I read it. Its Young Adult, but I was seriously so into the book, I was afraid to finish it because I was scared what would happen to the lead characters! Anyway, I couldn't wait to see what would happe --and I didn't have to! I just pressed the button, and POOF! I had it! Way cool, but super dangerous....

Hope you and BF are feeling better soon.
Funny you should mention the Hunger Games...Our friend's son is reading that series too. He was telling us all about it last night. Sounds interesting.

We were at a birthday party for our godson yesterday. He turned the big 18! Seems like just yesterday he was this little toddler we were babysitting for.

Pikester will relate to this one... The school sent home a letter on Friday saying they have reported cases of LICE at school. Now I am all paranoid and constantly checking the boys hair. Maybe I should go buy some of that shampoo and start using it as insurance.

I don't even have kids and can't believe how fast they're growing. My goddaughter's birthday is tomorrow and she's turning 13! I remember the day her mom told me she was first pregnant...and now our baby is a teenager! Her mom is totally a tomboy, no makeup, all sneakers. Her daughter is all lace, bows and girly stuff. She gets that from me!

Ugh. You'd think they'd have immunization against lice at this point. Good luck!

My roommates son is turning 3 in Jan but I swear he looks 5, he stands up to my waist now. What's cute though, is he calls me "Beff" but it sounds like "death", and he shakes my hand and says "nice to meetchu"

The disney store by us closed years ago also. But the next closest one,about 20 minutes away was renovated when childrens place owned them and they cut the size in half, and it never has anything good in it. But I guess the joke is on them because since they did that I went from shopping there every month to maybe once a year. I guess I should be grateful!!

I figure if they are really that rich to warrant being snotty they shouldn't be shopping in a outlet mall...it's like the clerks in Holt Renfrew in Toronto (Like Barney's or Macy's)...they work in a store for a living...shouldn't be turning their noses up at people..

Oh I love Borders too. We have one about 2 minutes from here and if I didn't have to work, I swear I would hang out there all the time.

I will have to watch that site for Lands end then. I know they have a couple of those jackets and one of them is rated to -40 degrees. I would love to have one that warm!

And sorry about the purchase. I did notice that they had the 25/50 off sale. So of course the coast I wanted is now"on sale" for like 139 so I can only get 25 off. I'd rather they left it at 150 and gave me 50 off. Still not able to commit to purchase just yet. I keep holding out for one of thoseKitty deals, ya know when I walk into a store and somehow make my purchasering up to $1.13???

Helloooo Ladies! I missed you all over the weekend.

Curt's mom is back in the hospital. She probably has lung cancer again. She's been smoking again and not eating. And she treats everything like it's a joke. Curt's sister is at her wits end since she tries to do everything for MIL. And MIL's husband is up to his usual tricks. He didn't even bother to go see her today even though they were home from work at 2:30pm. I am just so pee'd off and sorry for my MIL. She makes me so angry sometimes but nobody deserves this.

First, I bought the gift card from borders.com. 50 dollars plus a free 10 gift card.

Then I'm going to the grocery to Coinstar and exchanging $5 in coins for another Borders gift card. And I'll get a a coupon for 5 off 25 in my next purchase on the receipt.

Now, I was planning to shop at Borders anyway. So I'll spend 25 dollars, get 5 off in the coupon, and use the gift card to pay for it. I'm essentially just getting 10 free and 5 off my purchase.
