D&DDisney What a busy and tiring trip. Don't get me in a Candy Store! We did manage to eat all our Hersey candy.

MagiKitty Iwill be the voice of reason..put the$ in the bank and think about it. You don't have to spend it immediately. (That's what I tell my DD all the time).

My computer just went crazy! It went back a page and I thought I had lost my whole post! I found it so I didn't have to type this all over.

I have until the beginning of next month to wait and see if I make it to the Panel. then the full panic begins.

Actually crunched the numbers and for $100 more, I can the quick dining and that's the best deal. BF is actually in it for maximum Mickey Head ice cream.

So I'm going to put it in the bank for at least a few weeks and see what comes up....but its still nice to fantasize about a trip!

(and I have that $25 credit on my JetBlue flight that's eating away at me....)

Hey---I've missed not having a computer all week. That's the only bad thing about being at mom's...she has a rotary phone! Thanks for the well-wishes for her. She's doing better. Who knew bruises could change so many colors? One went from the middle of her chest to over her shoulder. The middle of her chest is where she's still having pain. She can raise her arm better. She had her staples out on Friday---shutter. Pepper---please don't let your dd see them taken out. I did not go in but it just makes me shake to think of it. But really, mom had no pain when the dr took them out. HE did get a piece of hair that was pulled but otherwise she didn't feel anything. I'm still staying with mom. She cannot put on her shoes and still has some pain when she moves. She's not sleeping in bed yet---on the recliner. She cannot lay down without pain.

Such good news Kitty. You did just right for the mom's video thing Kitty. That's just the way you are...take it or leave it. If they do not pick you, it's their loss! But I just don't see how they could pass you up. I do have a stupid question though---do you have to be a MOM to be on it? That's the name and all? I haven't really looked into it but just wondering...

Hope the Hawaii trip is shaping up DL55. I've had a error message when I tried to post here...but it did post. I certainly do not understand how these things work!

Thanks for the Walter pics. I am so jealous of JO's visit. I know he's growing so fast.

It just sounds wonderful about the trip for our 2 tker families. Glad everything was good there. When do we get pics????

The Mom in Mom's Panel has been rather fluid. There have been lots of Dads too. From what I gather, its mostly an advice website. People just ask questions and you're responsible for answering. I guess the initial idea was Moms helping Moms, but they expanded it, which I like, coz there are all sorts of families out there.

Like I consider us a family! With no definitive Mom figure, I guess we're more like a bunch of cousins....

I'm sure that the DIsney bigwigs know about the Dis. I'm not sure about their criteria for the next round. I think the video portion is the clincher, the other parts of the application was fairly generic. In reality, I had completely forgotten that I had applied all those months ago. I had applied previously and had gotten a nice magnet for it, so that's what I was expecting....

I don't have internet at all in the Phils and I can't believe how dependent I am on it. It IS like torture! Even for the simple things...I'm like, let me check the net. Like store hours or the weather.

M...you're going to Orlando in a few weeks! Remind me, is Mom going too? Will she be well enough to travel?

We fly Nov 3. I think Mom should be able to fly ok. The dr said it would take several weeks for the cracked ribs to not cause pain. She has improved. Since we are staying at friends, it'll be easier. I hope she can lay down for bed by then too.

we talked to our friends yesterday and they suggested going to the Mystery Dinner theater. You get to try and solve the mystery. Anyone done this kind of thing before?

I'm mostly worried about the weather. Namely, will we be able to get to/from the airports. Its already been pretty cold, so I would think (dreadfully) that this is going to be a very bad winter.

But I'm also secretly hoping for a windfall in Atlantic City.

pepper....I was reading that Harrah's isn't by the boardwalk. We plan to go to the outlets. Is it far from there? Does the shuttle go or should we take the car?

The shuttle buses only go to the different harrah hotels (Bally's, Caesars, Showboat etc...) I have never been to the outlets, but I think I know where they are.. you should be able to get off the shuttle at Bally's or Ceasars and walk over.

Magi: I was on the phone with my Mom when I read about your big win. I told her I was going to post to you "You suck!" (all in good fun of course) and she told me to tell you " You go girl!".

pepper: What messes are you getting yourself into girl! Glad to hear that there is nothing major wrong with your daughter and that you are on the healing road.

DL55: I say put the money in the bank too. She should keep an eye for good deals.

D&D: Sounds like a good trip! We recently had to buy an external hard drive. I just have to remember that we have it and that is why I can't find the pictures I want because they are on there and it's not plugged in to the computer.

Glad your mom is recovering. My mom always has bruises..it's amazing the different colors they go through. When they turn yellow I think that's when the bruise is about to disappear. Stitch removal isn't painful, it's just the idea of removing them is yucky. They still have rotary service available?

We are still waiting for the first condo owner to send us info. We've had the info for the second one for a couple of weeks.

pepper..thanks! We stayed at Caesars a few years ago, and yes, we were able to walk from there. So that's what we'll do! We're staying two nights. First day, shopping at the outlets (while we still have money). Gambling or sugar daddys that night (depending on how much we spend). JUST KIDDING!

Usually 24-48 hours for the soreness, but it will still be tender after that. There may be some swelling around the area too. It will get better though!

Just a quick drive by Hi to everyone.

Thanks for all the well wishes. I am feeling much better since we went to the Doctor this morning. She said that DD has low blood pressure (she took it like a billion times in different positions ha ha) She said that sometimes stress, overheating etc...can cause people with low blood pressure to pass out. I feel much better now that we know what to do.

I've always had low blood pressure...tell DD to mention it whenever she has her pressure taken. When I was a teen the nurses would keep taking it over and over thinking they had made a mistake.

Good morning ladies. Its sunny out here, but still very very cold.

Last night, I got on my knees and prayed for our friend and for strength at this time. I prayed to my favorite saint, St. Jude, who happens to be the patron saint of hopeless cases. But I don't think that there is no hope. I beleive in the power of prayer and of togetherness. I believe in miracles. I believe in the power of love.

Last year, after my nephew was attacked, I prayed and put my faith in God and in all his mercy. I do it again today and every day for my dear friends who have enriched my life beyond words.
