TJ Maxx question

Does TJ Maxx lower prices on non clothing items? A friend brought me to TJ Maxx, in the kitchen section found an espresso machine - have wanted one for years but never found one at a price I was willing to pay. They had abou 4 of them there - my friend said - wait till after Christmas they will go on sale. I noticed that they had clearance sales on clothing but nothing in the kitchen/houseware section was discounted other than the TJ Maxx price which is lower than the retail price.

Our TJMax has seperate clearance sections for each of its departments. Be sure to walk the perimeter of the store and check all of the end caps. The kitchen section is shoved into a corner of the store where you wouldn't normally walk, but its definitely there! And, yes, they are likely to be on clearance after Christmas!

TJ Maxx has separate clearance item areas in each of the departments. Unfortunately, many times when household items end up there they can be damaged or broken. But not always, so it is worth a look...

Most of my friends don't have the patience for TJMaxx because of the "junk" factor....I find it a challenge...

I have seen TJ Maxx have kitchen stuff on clearance. I have no idea what their clearance schedule is. I've bought things there on clearance and bought a second one, exactly like it, same time, and it wasn't clearance. They say it depends on when the item comes in. I was there last night and they had cutting boards and food stuffs on clearance... ours has a clearance isle in the kitchen section and two other areas. I have never seen anything like that on clearance though, usually small things. If it were me, and the price is acceptable right now, I'd buy it, keep it and the receipt and check back after the holidays. If you see it on clearance you can return the first one (yeah, I know some people are probably against this, sorry! Not something I'd usually do, but if it's for a "luxury" item, I will) If not, you got what you wanted at a price you were pleased with.

That was my first time at TJ Maxx. Think I'll go in just after Christmas - if its gone - oh well not like I can't live without one, if its there and not on sale - and I get some Christmas $$$s then will pick it up.
