Yes,
Disney Store does sell park tickets, yes, you can used a gift card as partial payment, but they DO NOT sell Annual Passes.
Actually that's not entirely true. Some stores have have the vouchers they can sell...other stores can special order them. It's the same as how TDS in the east region don't have tickets to
Disneyland...BUT they do sell them, they just have to be special ordered.
TDS has the same pricing as disneyworld.com. However, the tickets are only available in 3-7 day increments. They do not offer the no-expiration option nor do they offer Florida resident discounts. The only exception to the 3-7 day and FL resident discount "rule" are for TDS located in Florida itself. They have been known to carry even 1 day tickets and offer FL resident discounts. Other discounts are not available through TDS (i.e.
AAA). You can do a partial payment and gift cards are acceptable forms of payment.
Plus you can pick which character you want on the cards.
From what I understand and have seen since I've worked there is that the different characters are for different types of tickets...not that you can choose whatever character for whatever type of ticket (not very cost effective for them). I can't remember the characters, but to give you an example, Mickey is a base ticket, Minnie is base plus park hopper, Donald is base plus water park, and Goofy is park hopper with water park. Don't quote me on the characters themselves, I'm just using them as an example. I wouldn't go in thinking "Oh I can get Mickey on my ticket!" then pick up Mickey, come home, and then realize that you purchased the wrong ticket...because they're nonrefundable at the store.
