TIW question

I was looking into this program and noticed some of the charecter meal locations are listed. Mainly crystal palace, hollywood and vine, and chef mickey. Are you able to use that discount for the charecter buffet meals?

But are you an AP holder, DVC member or FL resident? You can't get a TiW card unless you are one of those 3.

But it's good at almost all TS locations at Disney, and a few (very few) CS locations as well.

Yep...DVC. Didn't remember that being available to us last time I looked into it. Which was within the last month! Must have missed something. Will have to do some math to see if it is worth it. We usually do the quick service dp but decided to try to save some money this time. we dont plan on alot of sit down meals...mostly CS so it may not be a good deal for us. Will have to price out the couple of character meals to see if it is worth it just for those! Do you know if there is a list of counter service places that take it anywhere?

Counter service (going from memory):

Food courts at value resorts
Artists Palette @ SSR
Some of the CS places at Animal Kingdom
Very limited on CS locations that accept it - it is mainly places that don't/didn't have any TS choices - although eventually at SSR & AK, they added those, but they still allow the card to be used there on CS.

For DVC, it will cost $100 - you will have to spend $500 over the life of the TiW card to break even. After that, it is savings.

We really like having a TiW card, although we have been AP holders with one and then it only costs $75.

It's also good at many lounges - like Tambu Lounge @ the Poly, Territory Lounge @ WL, also at the Tune-In Lounge at DHS.
