I am an AP holder this year (expires Oct 2011), and I am planning on getting a TIW card for our June and August trips. However, I won't be renewing our AP's when they expire. If we go back to WDW after our AP's expire, but within a year of purchasing the TIW card, will I still be able to use the TIW card? Do you have to show your AP when you use the TIW card, or do you simply have to be an AP holder when you buy the TIW card?

Thanks!

I have never needed to show my AP. I would put my TIW card and my credit card in the check folio. I think you would not have a problem using the TIW card any time before it expires.

You will be able to use the TIW card even after your AP expires. You just have to have a vailid AP at the time you purchase the TIW. In fact, if you purchase both on the same day, the AP expires exactly one year later, but the TIW is good until the end of the following month, so effectively about 13 - 14 months.

Unfortunately, mine expires on the same day as my AP. Maybe I'll go to Guest Relations on my next trip & see if they can fix it.
