correct me if I'm wrong but the new TIW card can only be used where the DDP is accepted right? I hav looked at the website and the list looks identicle. I went with the dining plane last night and I didn't like the line ups at thiese places and were ltd to only DDP restaurants. It would be a no brainer if I could use this card practically everywhere

TIW is accepted at all TS restaurants in WDW plus the lounges in the deluxe resorts. It is also accepted at CS in the values and the CS at POFQ.

Claire ;)

It is also accepted at the counter service locations at Animal Kingdom.

Also, remember that you not limited to certain items with the DDP. You can order whatever you'd like and you will receive 20% off the total.

Not all TS restaurants honor the TIW card. There are some in Epcot that do not, Japan being one of those.

TIW has less places than DDP if you count in CS. TIW CS is available at all the resorts and Pizzafaria and Flame Tree in AK. With the DDP you are not limited in CS options.

That being said we like TIW because it is 20% off your whole meal including alcoholic bev., app., whatever you order. Also, up to 10 people on one bill get the discount.

For a large group it is worth the $60 it costs, for a small family or a group with children (under 10) probably not.

oh if you can use it practically everywhere that works better... for some reason I thought it was just the DDP restaurants.

We have reservations for Teppan Edo on 12/13 and they accept DDP but not TIW. We will probably cancel as my employer's holiday party is going to be at the Grand Floridian on the same day.

Another thing to consider about TIW is the blackout dates:
Blockout dates for the Tables in Wonderland are Mothers Day, Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

The DDP does not have blackout dates.

Also some (actually most I think) at DTD and all restaurants at the Swolphin don't accept DDE.

We get the card for just DH and me and it is more than worth it for us in just one trip! We eat well on vacation- always get to dinner at Jiko's, Cali Grill, etc. It doesn't take long at all to save $60. The card we have now has been used for trips last Dec, March, April, October and will be used for another trip this December before it expires.

Yep, we've used the DVC discount at Fresh. Unfortunately, no DVC discount at Blue Zoo though.
It would be nice if DVC'ers could get this discount at all of their restaurants. I print out that dining discount chart every time we plan to stay at BWV because otherwise I forget that we get 20% off at at least a few of the Swolphin restaurants. It's as quick to walk over there as it is to walk to Epcot so it gives us a few more dining options within walking distance.

I almost got confused. You mean the park. DDE is not available for CS in the resort (AKV Jambo)

It is also accepted at SSR's CS place, AP.

Lisa, printing out a list is a great idea. It's so easy to forget which restaurants offer which discounts. Portable perks lists them too I think.

I don't know if it's changed but our waiter at Blue Zoo said they offer no discounts at all...not even to employees of BZ.
