This will be our first time using Tables in Wonderland. We are traveling with another couple and will have all of our meals together. Can we get separate checks and have our friends also get the discount or should we just get one check and have them reimburse us? TIA

The general rule is that they will apply the discount only to a single check. Have heard some stories of being able to split checks and apply the discount to both, but I wouldn't count on that.

I would keep it all on one check for the discount. In some places it takes an act of congress to get the discount. Managers, KTTW, photo ID. Just to be sure and make it easier on everyone, one check. Other places barely look at it but........You never know.

I have never had an experience like this, and we have used the program since it became available to annual passholders -- five years?

We were at Bistro de Paris earlier this week. They required my drivers' license, in addition to the TiW card. So, it does happen.

I've been asked for photo ID, I guess to prove that I was the cardholder (as the cardholder is supposed to be present to use the discount). That's only happened once in awhile. Never been asked for a KTTW, and I'm not sure why a KTTW would be relevant; you don't have to stay onsite to use a TIW membership. They always have to get a manager to approve the discount before it can be applied to the check.

Manager approval is standard now. We've managed to escape anyone asking for ID--so far!!
And tho a kind server might be happy to split a check and apply the discount, as TDC Nala suggests, don't count on it.
In exchange for you getting them the discount, the other couple should be more than happy to reimburse you---

If they do a split check, it is very rare indeed. You can ask. But don't count on it.

We've always put the bill on one check to make it easier and faster. Our friends just write us a check at the end of our trip. The only time I've been asked for an ID was to ascertain that I was an AP holder and entitled to the discount at one of the merchandise stores.
