TIW--how does it change your ADRs?

I have never used TiW card before, but we will have it for a trip in the future. We have never used DDP because we always felt like we saved money by not ordering as much and we weren't eating character meals everyday. That having been said, I recognize the value of having DDP if you do character meals/buffets.
My question, for those who have used TiW is, how does having it affect your ADRs? Do you pick more expensive restaurants because you are getting a discount? I know there are ways to get more bang for your buck with DDP. Are there ways to maximize your savings with TiW (picking certain restaurants over others,etc...)? I will be planning the ADRs/schedule for our group (6 adults and 2 kids) and I want to make sure I am in the know before making my ADRs.

For us, the TiW changes our ADRs in that we no longer need to worry about prices period. We are guaranteed to save 20% so long as we dine at a restaurant that accepts TiW, and love the freedom of solely picking restaurants based on where we want to eat.

Having that same % off of any adult beverages at those restaurants is just a bonus. :)

Another perk that we enjoy is the Valet component of the TiW when we dine at resorts.

For us, it means at least a few times per trip we'll choose TS meals where we'd usually do CS, because the TS + TIW brings the price much closer to the CS price.
