TIW card

You can't. You have to go to Guest Services in or outside of the parks or at Downtown Disney. Make sure you have your AP with you (which is obvious if you're IN a park LOL).

TIW the guest services are outside of the Parks, you can purchase them there or as stated before at Downtown...

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. Guess I will head to MK first thing. Anybody else wish they would put more guest services at FW?

I've decided that TIW makes more sense than a meal plan, we just don't eat dessert (except bread pudding at Trail's End)

FYI - I was able to upgrade to an AP at Guest Services at WL. They said they don't do it very often but that they are able to do it. They made my room key an AP.

Agreed. I wanted to buy our annual passes with the 12 month payment plan and guest services at Boardwalk Inn couldn't do this -- fortunately, it was a short walk over to the International Gateway EPCOT entrance.

Have you gotten a paper AP yet? If not you will have trouble getting AP discounts with your old room key on your next trip.

Not to intrude on this thread, but I am planning to do much the same thing later this year. I have a couple of questions. Is it ok to get the room key upgraded to AP, and if so, do I need to get it back on paper form before we leave at the end of our trip?

That is what I would do. The upgraded room key will work fine for park enteries , but there is no way for you to use it to get AP discounts for merchandice and such.

We have had the TIW card now for about 8 months, love it. The discounts are better than the AP food discounts without as many resistrictions. We have earned back the card cost and then some. Check not all restaurants are Disney and won't accept the card example Yak & Yeti in AK.
Enjoy
