TIW Card?

What is the cost of the TIW (DDE) Card for AP holders?
TIA

$60. :) An additional card, say for your spouse, is $25. (The 2nd card used to be free, but that changed about 2 years ago.)

The cost had been raised to $65 for awhile (my renewal in 2007 cost $65), but has been back to $60 for many months now! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the quick reply!!!
Can it be used at any of the restuarants in Vero Beach?

Thank You Michael,
That may make the difference in whether I get an AP and a TIW card. I thought I had read here that it could be used at Vero.
Thanks Again for your help.

Can you get a TIW card if you don't have an AP ? Does anyone no how much it costs to purchase without the AP? I have been getting the DDP my last couple trips but wonder if the TIW card may be better to try.

You have to be a FL Resident or an Annual Passholder to get the TIW card.

Just wanted to mention, while dining at LeCellier last week we gave our DDE card to the server. They have a different name for it. They call it the T-mad card. While I struggle with the new TIW name we asked why T-mad. She said that because the Madhatter is on the front, that was the nickname they started calling it. So we are wondering if that name sticks. I've grown use to it, but just wanted to pass the info on in case you heard it mentioned again. We have had the card since 2005 and it is a great perk for AP holders. Heck even several of our CM friends have gotten the card, especially since their discounts get blackedout so often now.

I believe the price is now $75 for TIW. It was when we renewed it during our March trip.

What exactly is the TIW card? and is it only available to AP holders? Whats the difference between this and the Dining Plan? :confused3

TIW gets a person 20% discount off whatever items (including alcoholic beverages) at most TS restaurants (and a handful of CS restaurants). See the above link for the list of restaurants.

Since joining DVC, we plan 2 trips within 12 months. We buy APs and TIW card once but it covers both trips. It lets us save a good amount of money for the two trips.

We really enjoyed being able to use it at BLT TOTWL. Our group ordered a couple rounds of appetizers and beverages. TIW saved us $25 there alone.

It's a discount card available to AP holders for $75 for the primary card and $50 for the secondary card. (It's also $50 for a replacement if you lose it.) Florida residents can buy the card for $100...not sure how much the secondary/replacement cost is.

The card gives holders 20% off dining (including alcohol) at most table service restaurants and some counter service (at AK and value resorts, maybe some moderates...I can't recall now...basically resorts that have no sit-down restaurant). It requires an automatic gratuity of 18%.

Many people find the TIW offers better flexibility than the DDP - I certainly find that to be true for me and my family. With TIW you eat wherever you want (within the plan, which is extensive) and there's no counting credits or feeling like you HAVE to eat a certain number of meals to get your money's worth. There are no unused credits to worry about.

TIW also offers free valet parking at resorts (the ones that offer valet) when you dine there using the plan.

There are a few blackout dates - mostly major holidays like T'giving, Easter, Christmas...I don't recall them but I know Mother's Day is one.

Oh yea!! For multiple trips it is a better bargain than the DDP. Plus it discounts my libations, an important part of my healthy diet.
