Unless you are an AP holder by chance??I noticed to purchase the TIW card you need an ID and your dvc card. Am I correct that since associates on the dvc account don't have member card they cannot purchase the TIW?
I believe the technical answers are correct but it doesn't hurt to ask. Or potentially the member could buy it and get a second card for you for the additional cost depending on your relationship. I'd call and see what TIW says, the worst they can say is no.I noticed to purchase the TIW card you need an ID and your dvc card. From the TIW website:
That's why I said call them because I know they've made exceptions in this area. And my guess is this spouse or partner will have to have an ID with same address as the TIW member.

Not if there's a true second user.... that would only make it a better deal. It's like two memberships for $200.Adding the second membership makes TIW even harder to make "worth it", though.
It changes the numbers but for someone where the second user will get true value, it could be worth it for some. It'd actually be easier to get true value out of the second card than the first. Certainly for a couple who were usually together, it'd be difficult to make it work $$$ wise.Adding the second membership makes TIW even harder to make "worth it", though.
My wife wanted her own membership card, so I just bought a 25-point BWV contact via resale and put it in her name. I mean, if I'm going to pay to change the title, we might as well get some more points out it, right?Yeah, I only think of a spouse-as-associate since that's what I am. Useless for DH to have TIW apart from me, since he's not the one who takes solo trips. And even with the addition to my cousin's family we're still just a party of 9 total when we all get together.
(So DONE with being an associate. Paying it off today then will be wading my way through those deed-change threads I've seen.)
Except you could change the title on a single contract for $40.My wife wanted her own membership card, so I just bought a 25-point BWV contact via resale and put it in her name. I mean, if I'm going to pay to change the title, we might as well get some more points out it, right?
How? I have wondered how to do this!Except you could change the title on a single contract for $40.
The short summary is this:How? I have wondered how to do this!

Thank you!The short summary is this:
The cheapest I know to get someone else to do it is around $175 including recording fees.
- Contact DVC for paperwork (best by email)
- Return the "transfer" form to them.
- They'll send you a ROFR waiver
- Send that and a deed to country for ROFR (HI, CA and SC slightly more complicated) with the recording fees. Can use a FL quit claim deed template and the current deed as a model. Must decide on title method (Joint tenants, etc)
- Send a copy of the recorded deed and the second transfer received with the ROFR form to DVC.
