TiW and room charging?

I intend to buy a new TiW card in 2 weeks. I'm going with my friend and we plan on having her card linked to the room and I will be paying as I go with my card (this is because her card charges her each time she uses it overseas so if its all charged to the room she only has 1 fee).

I understand I need to be the one to pay and we cannot split the check, I am happy to pay her cash and her charge it to the room and thus her card. The question is, if its my TiW card do I need to be the one to charge it to the room? Will it matter that it wil be my friend's card linked to the room? will they know this in the restaurants?

Yes. They will probably ask for a photo id also.

No. They will use a handheld scanner to read your MagicBand and have you enter the PIN setup for room charging.

will they know this in the restaurants?

The restaurant does not know what CC is on file with the resort.

Here now - had dinner at Pardiso Raglan Narcoosee's and some drinks at BVL

Only Raglan checked my ID - so I guess enforcement is spotty.

As stated above, it's spotty whether they check or not, When we went in Nov, I would say it was 50/50.

thanks for the replies, will make sure I take ID round with me. so it shouldn't matter that I am the one who charges it to the room as long as I have ID and I know the room charging number
