TIW and DDP Question

We are meeting up with friends tomorrow at WDW. They are already checked into Poly and all are on DDP. They will be checking out of Poly tomorrow and checking in with us at AKV.
I have a Tables in Wonderland card and I can use it for a discount for everyone in our party for our reservations at Boma.
Here is the situation: Since they are able to use dining credits until the end of the day tomorrow, can they use whatever credits they have left after they check in with us at Boma? If so, can I use the TIW card on those of us at the table that will not be using DDP credits.
Example: If they have two child DDP credits left, can they use those on the same bill as the rest of the group and I use the TIW card for a discount on the cash paying members of our party?

To clear up the confusion about the checks when we dine with people on the DDP and we're using our TiW card we just ask for separate checks, even if we forget to ask the guests on the DDP usually get theirs separate anyway.

You can use both DDP and TiW on the same check. After DDP entitlements are accounted for, TiW discounts apply to everything that remains.

I was worried we would run into a problem having DDP and non-DDP people using TIW at our table.

You may want to make sure you make it totally clear to your server who will be using TIW and who will be paying with DDP credits before you order. One of the biggest confusions I've ever seen regarding restaurant checks occurred at Artist Point with a group of persons, half on DDP, half on TIW, also buying a bottle of wine that was going to be paid for by one of the DDP users, with their own TIW discount.

The DDP meals will automatically be on a different check from the cash meals. Remember that all items for which your party wishes the TIW discount to be applied must be on the same check, so if you want everyone to get the TIW discount you can't split checks between the parties on the cash meals.
