Does anyone know for sure if Shutters (dinner only) is the only place that takes TIW at CBR? Thanks! I just realized that this is how it seems. Most all other resorts have 3 meals per day covered with TIW as well as their bar/lounge.

Tables in Wonderland is not the Disney Dining Plan.

DDP covers the counter service, table service, and one snack per night that you stay at the resort.

TiW is a discount card that can be purchased by annual passholders and Florida residents. This is a discount-only card accepted at various table service and counter service places at the Value resorts, at POFQ, and the counter service at AK theme park (except Yak and Yeti). (And some stand alone lounges honor it.) There's a list of participating restaurants you can pick up when you purchase the card at Guest Relations in the parks or Downtown Disney. Discount is 20% off food and alcoholic beverages, with a gratuity of 18% added back to table service and lounge usages only.

TiW is only accepted at Shutters since the food court at Caribbean Beach is not part of that program.

So, if you're talking about credits covering meals, you're talking about DDP, and that is accepted at both the food court for counter service / snacks, or table service at Shutters.

I hope this answered your question.

I think you are misunderstanding the OP's remarks. I believe the OP means that other resorts have dining options where you are able to use your TIW discount for breakfast, lunch or dinner. At CBR, you can only use TIW at Shutters, which does not serve all 3 meals.

OP - yes, Shutters is the only dining location at CBR that takes the TIW card.

Yes, you are correct. We have had TIW for the past few years and have either stayed at a Value or WL. I did check the list on WDWs site only to find Shutters. On this website, both the food court and bar are listed (sorry can't recall actual names) In the Values and Deluxe there are offerings for the 3 meals, and I was surprised that CBR (we'll be here in Nov) only had the one place and only for dinner. Then, on this site the Food court was listed as well. That's why the post-just a little confused. Thanks.

Most resorts that have TS restaurants accept TIW only at the TS restaurant and the lounge. The only exception is Saratoga Springs.

The food courts at the All-Star resorts, Pop Century and Port Orleans French Quarter accept TIW, but these resorts have no TS restaurant.

Granted, most resorts have TS restaurants that are open for meals other than just dinner.

Yes, I realize that. Since we are staying at CBR (first time with TIW) I was checking for the times/offerings at Shutters. I realized that it is only opened for dinner. Also, I seems when I checked here in the dining section (not the boards) it looks like the food court is included. This is the link from TIW restaruants on the website. Thanks for all your help. http://www.wdwinfo.com/disneydiningexperience.htm

As far as I know the CBR food court does not accept TIW.

I think you are misreading the name of the TS restaurant (Shutters at Old Point Royale) as including the food court at Old Point Royale. Old Point Royale is the name of the building, not just the food court.

I thought so at first, but when you click on it, it goes to the counter service. That's why I was a little confused so I checked WDW site and it's only Shutters. Sorry! I really wish there was someplace for breakfast that was included at CBR, I really didn't realize that Shutters was only open dinnertime. Oh well, I guess that's just the way it is. I am going to ask WDW, why no other meals (for TIW) at CBR though.

I had to contact WDW TIW area since I have never received any correspondence from them ever for new additions to the list or any special happenings. Anyway, in my email I did also ask why only Shutters is included in the TIW offerings to eat at. They really had no answer other than they saw my point that there are no Breakfast or Lunch places offered with TIW. I did ask the CM to please pass along my suggestion that someplace be included at CBR for Breakfast and Lunch. Just have to wait and see. I am a little disappointed that there are no TIW places at CBR since on our past stays at WDW in Values and Deluxe when we had the TIW there was a place for all meals.

TIW isn't based on which meals a restaurant serves. It's based on whether the resort has a TS restaurant because the program was originally designed to apply only to TS restaurants. CBR just happens to be one of the few resorts that can only have dinner covered by the discount because its TS restaurant only serves dinner.

It's good to let TIW know your concerns but I don't think it will change anything.

The only resort where both the TS and CS restaurants accept TIW is Saratoga Springs, but that's only because Saratoga had no TS restaurant at all when it opened.

I don't remember when Shutters opened. If Shutters opened after the TIW program began, then the food court might just accept TIW, but it's not on any of the official TIW lists.

I understand all that but CBR didn't have a TS when it opened either and why wouldn't they remove the CS when the TS opened at SSR. I just made a suggestion to WDW - can't hurt can it?

Can't hurt but your chances are not great, because the point of TIW was not to provide a discount for all meals at a resort. It was to provide a discount for table service meals.

If the resort did not have a table service restaurant when the TIW program was started, it was accepted at the CS at those resorts only. SSR opened after the TIW program started and did not have a TS restaurant. When they added a TS the CS was not removed from the program. Same with Animal Kingdom park. They have added a TS that accepts TIW, but it's also still accepted at the CS there.

The only way CBR's food court might accept TIW is if Shutters opened after the TIW program started. Doesn't matter when the resort opened, only when the TIW program (then known as DDE for Disney Dining Experience) started.

There is currently the same situation at Port Orleans Riverside, as its TS is only open for dinner and the CS doesn't accept TIW.
