I came to the school disctrict I'm at back in 6th grade. I had just gotten over a major crush I had on a girl for three years, and I was kind of depressed that I wasn't going to she her anymore.
So I get here, and one girl catches my eye. A cute brunette girl named Stephanye. (it's spelled diffrently I know). I've spent the last few years, admireing her from acrossed the room, so to speak. And it was killing me.
So at the beginning of this year, It finally gets to me. I decide I'm going to ask here out, but not yet. I didn't want to just go up there, un-prepared, and look like a moron when I try to ask her. So I made a "plan", I guess you could say. I decided that I wasn't going to ask her out this year, but sometime next year. I didn't know too much about her personality, and that was the major thing holding me back. So I decided to use this year kind of like a scouting year, figuring out what she likes, what she doesn't like, her intrests...ect., and at first, it was going great. Especially when I discovered our personalities are quite a bit alike. I thought I had it made, and it was going to be smooth sailing. But, like all interesting stories, there is a catch.
There is this kid in my grade named David. Big guy. Plays on the football team. He's fun to be around, I mean he livens up any room he walks into, and nothing is boring with him in the mix. Actually, he's quite like me, only louder.
A few weeks ago, he broke his leg very badly, and I mean VERY badly. One of his bones in his leg, was basically shattered. Well, right before this, I was seeing this girl I like, kind of taking a liking to him, and the only thing this did, was highten her, errrm, fondness for him. Over about the past week, I've been hearing this more and more from her...."I love David". Needless to say, that's been killing me to hear, but it wasn't the hardest blow. Next week is homecoming, and I was hearing her say, "If David was here I would take him to homecoming". Well the past couple of days have brought news, saying that his recovery is going well. So it changed to, "If David is back by Homecoming, I'm taking him". So by now I'm kind of panicing. My window shrunk from 2 years, to 2 weeks, and this just happend today.
So I'm sitting there in my 7th hour, desperatly trying to figure out what I'm going to do. And finally, I come to the conclusion, I'm going to wait and see if he's back by next Friday, and if he isn't I'll ask her to homecoming. And with how badly his leg was broken, and the fact that he needed surgury, I was looking pretty good. But once again, with every interesting story, there is a catch......
In my last class of the day, I have a teacher, that is very good friends with David's dad. David is supposed to be in my 8th hour class, but because of the broken leg, he has missed class. So the teacher decides to give us an update on how he is doing.
"Mr. ____ told me today that the surgury went great, and that he is going to try to be back on Monday, except that he is going to be in a wheelchair, and they don't know how bad the swelling is going to be."
GREAT! Monday. Sure I'm glad he is doing well, and that he's going to be back soon, but you know what this means? He's going to be back an entire week before homecoming. And from the looks of it, he's going to have a date to it as well. So I'm basically screwed, and this really sucks.
So really, I just needed to rant somewhere. Thanks to anybody who had the paitents to actually read all of it.
Oh and to anybody that's read my advice on how to get a girl...that's only designed to work in short term. (like 2-3 weeks...just long enough to..........) And I care about her more than the usual girl, so I had to take a bit of a diffrent approach. One that screwed me in the end.

You definently deserve it...
