hello..wondering if anyone has been to the titanic exhibit..info on prices and if its worth it, will be appreciated

Hello. We went here on our last visit to Orlando and found it very interesting. The price I think was around $18 for adults and $14 for children up to age of 12. I believe you can get a discount family ticket as well. You have a guide who takes you around the exhibition but you are also left to rewander on your own once the tour is completed and before you arrive at the obligatory shop on the way out!! The guide is either a passenger or a member of the crew and are dressed accordingly. Its quite atmospheric. Your ticket for entry has the name of someone who was on the ship and at the end you can check against the list of those who dies and those who survived to find out which one you were. Im not that emotional a person but I did find myself caught up in it all and felt quite teary at the end thinking about all those poor people!! Our children were 13 and 10 when we went. There were a few younger children and they just roamed around and seemed bored but no-one seemed to mind. Oh the opening times were 10am - 8pm and we spent about one and a half hours to two hours at the exhibition.

Hi...we enjoyed it also..Just FYI, there are NO real relics from the ship. There are a number of very large rooms that are mocked up as parts of the ship. So you stand "on the deck," and in a number of parts of the ship including the grand staircase.

There are lots of dishes and ship parts that are models or replicas.

I think the guides are always "crew members" who give give you a very nice tour that is quite sobering. There are lots and lots of pictures and you can wander as much as you like.
We used a local discount coupon. It is located convenient to Disney area with lots of shops and places to shop and wander before and after...

And FYI here is a site to get two tickets from IBIDUSA auction..we did this ended up paying about 10 each per ticket!

enjoy...

I thought some of the artifacts were actually real. I know there was a tiny book in one of the cabinets which was lent by a private collector and some of the plates etc were, I thought or presumed to be the real thing. And wasnt there a deck-chair?
Our guide was actually a gentleman who was a passenger and not a member of the crew but I would have loved to listen to one of the deck hands or even the captain - that would have been great!

Hi..we asked specifically and the deck chair was a replica. Do not remember a little book...maybe it has been added since last January....

My daughters and I went there a couple of years ago and also enjoyed it. I'm also certain that at least one of the lifejackets was an original as well. I believe that several of the artifacts are duplicates as Titanic was owned by White Line and they used many of the same dishes, sinks and ect.. I would reccomend taking this side trip if you have the time.
