Hey everyone,

I have just been doing research of other attractions in Orlando, besides Sea World, Disney World, Universal and Space Kennedy centre, and have just found out about the Titanc Exhibit.

Just wanted to see if anyone else from DIS had visted the exhibit and if it is worth it for us to have a spare day to visit the museum?

Thanks

Shannon

This is a wonderful / very well done attraction. Our entire extended family group did it last March. Everyone enjoyed it, even those who didn't have that big an interest in Titanic History. Do note that this only takes about two hours to do, so is great for a off day / relaxation day after between theme parks. We often combine something like this with swimming and tennis at our resort or do this in the morning, relax a little, and then visit some of the Disney resort hotels.

It's quite similar to some of the Titanic artifiact exhibitions that have been traveling the country. If you haven't already done one of these, I highly recommend this I-drive attaction. What gives this a slight edge over some of these is that it incudes a tour given by an actor in costume // really fun and they have a great mix between being on a guided tour and getting to look at things on your own.

We haven't done this yet, but something new is that they are doing a special dinner experience with mulitple actors on Saturday nights. This doesn't work for us next week, as we get in this coming Sunday and leave the following Saturday on a late evening flight. But I'm considering putting this in our budget for our next trip and including a Saturday stay over so that we can do this.

We did this in January and liked it a lot. It's not cheap, but what is in Orlando... :-)

The tours start on the full hour and on the half as well I think. We were a couple of minutes late, so we missed the very first room. The female guide played the role of a 1. class passenger and was very good, she stayed in character the entire time. It felt a bit like the Adventurer's Club, but of course without the comedy.

We were there quite early and our group consisted of only 5 people. The exhibits are very well done.

I can recommend it, it's a nice break from Disney. On the way back, we drove the I-Drive to its end in Kissimmee, it's funny to see how it changes from a tacky tourist street to a almost abandoned backwater street. :-) On our way we drove by a sign pointing out the "Mary Queen of the Universe shrine" and since we had seen it before from I4 we decided to have a closer look. While I'm not religious I thought it was quite a nice church.
