Does anyone know of a reputable place to get discounted tickets to the Titanic Musuem.

Any reviews of it are welcome too. My son is obsessed with the ship!

My son is a Titanic enthusiast too, and we went last March. There were two for one admission coupons in the Orlando Entertainment book. It might not be worth getting the book, though, unless there are other things you would use in it too. You can look online to see what's available to see if it would be worth it for you. You can buy the book either online or at Walgreens. Here a web link: http://www.entertainment.com/discount/home.shtml

I highly recommend the attraction. We went because of my 14 year old, but everyone in our multigenerational group really enjoyed it. They do guided tours on the hour and give you chances to look around on your own too. Your tour guide will be an actor in costume (character from the ship) and will be easy to understand, but will even speak with an appropriate accent. The attraction is very well done and interesting. The whole thing takes about two hours. The Orlando one is the only one I know of that gives an actual tour. The artifact exhibit (permanent in Las Vegas and traveling don't do a tour) and the Branson one and another sister location (owned by the Branson one) don't do a tour either.

Having a Titanic enthusiast in the family can be lots of fun. I've been adding something Titanic related to all our vacations / mini trips. We started in Orlando in March with this wonderful attraction. Next before heading to Utah National Parks (we were flying into Las Vegas), so went to see the Titanic Artifact Exhibit at the Luxor. In October we have a mini trip to Washington, D.C. and just for fun are going to see the Titanic Memorial. Then in December we're going to be in Branson, MO (very close by for us), and are going down specifially to see their Titanic Attraction -- people really like it, but say the one in Orlando is better. And then next summer, before spending a week in the Colorado Mountains (we fly into Denver), we will see the Molly Brown house which is located right in Denver.

Just wanted to share for the titanic enthusiasts! There is a titanic museum in Pigeon Forge, TN that opened earlier this summer. I looked at the orlando website, and it appears to be pretty similar. (Although, I haven't been in either)
My hubby and I tried to stop in the Pigeon Forge location on a random weekday, and they were booked solid for tours until later that night! We were told reservations are recommended.

....."Titanic survivor" by Violet Jessup.

cool book.popcorn::.

The Pigion Forge and Branson, MO ones are owned by the same company and are sister attractions. That's great to hear how well the new one is doing. It's amazing to me all the interest in the Titanic given that it sunk almost 100 years ago.

Does anyone know if the titanic museum is on a bus route? :confused3 We will be staying on property at POR and will not have a car. I saw it is close to universal but we will probably be doing universal on a different day. TIA!

should be on the i-ride trolley stop, check their website!

we did this today - used a $2coupon from a book we had picked up at Walmart. Our guide was excellent, although he started with a really strong irish accent and it was hard to understand even for us brits. but he was fantastic we took our 14yr old son with us and we all had an excellent time. You are given cards with passengers names on and you find out at the end if you survived or not, although i found out part way through that because of giving up my seat to another woman I died - but i died a hero!!!

I would recommend it to anyone they also offer a dinner show I think to book it seperatly its about $60 each but if you go to the exhibition you get a reduction of taking it to about $33/34 each for dinner with members of the cast etc sounded good but we already had a reservation for tonight or we would have done it

To the OP- thanks for starting this thread!

Kathy884- my 9 year old is a Titanic fanatic too (his 8th BD party was Titanic-themed) and we are also going to Washington DC for a long weekend in October. What can you tell me about the Titanic Memorial? Where/What is it???

TIA!!!
