Disney might have learned from 20th Centry's Fox's Titan A.E a few years ago.... Kids don't like animated space movies... only making 12 million dollars over the weeked... Disney should have made a sequel to the sword and the Stone.... kids like that magic stuff these days..... Harry Potter $200 million soo far........ the way it's going the emperors new groove might make more money than Treasure planet.............Don't get me wrong Treasure Planet looks like a great movie and I enjoyed Titan AE....... I can't imagine what types of attactions they could make for this movie if it did good..........A loss for theme park fan's .... next time Disney save your animated films for the summer months..

disney needs to get out of the sequel business all together.

kids have always liked that magic stuff but with a great story which "harry" has.

thats anothr business disney needs to get into, the great story business.

I think thats the only legs that TP is gonna get. plus once that tiny film LOTRII comes out fuggetaboutit

We love sequels...they bring life back into the characters and give the kids something new and 'their own' to associate with. They also broaden the story, add new characters. The Pooh movies and cartoons, the Little Mermaid movies and cartoons, the Aladdin movies and cartoons are among my daughter's favorite things to watch along with Bear in the Big Blue House and Madeline. Then, of course, Toy Story 2 was the mother of all sequels.
Sure, some of the sequels aren't so great, but I've yet to see one that wasn't well done. And even if some didn't do much to add to the splendor of the original, they did not tarnish it.

No offense, really, but you think "Cinderella II" was done well? Yikes!

Yea, but Cinderella III "Judgment Day" is going to be KILLER!

little mermaid 2 also stunk.

Yea, but Cinderella III "Judgment Day" is going to be KILLER!

thats the funniest post ive read in a while!!!

Lady and the Tramp 2 and Peter Pan 2 were good or should I say that my DD enjoyed both of them

the title has been changed to Cinderella III "Rise of the Evil Step-Sisters" The working internal project name is " The Search for More Money"

Snow White II: Chillin' With My Dwarf Homies :p

Their trying to appeal to the masses. :jester:

Little Mermaid 2 - Return to the Sea
Peter Pan 2 - Return to Neverland
Cinderella 2 - Return to the Store where you Purchased it.

Cinderella II was not really a sequel, it was actually 3 unrelated cartoons (ala the Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Poohs, Timon and Pumba). Each told a nice story.
L&tT2, LM2, PP2 and HB2 were all very well done and developed old and new characters nicely.
The only thing about these that upset me was that the (expensive) 'soundtrack' for LM2 included songs not in the movie (which my daughter refused to listen to), yet excluded the new version of a classic Ariel song that played during the credits...there was NO reason to exclude that.
I'm waiting for Snow White 2, hopefully the prince will finally get a name...then he could finally do meet and greets at WDW!!!

Cinderella II does count as a sequel. It continues the story of the original movie...exactly what a sequel does. The first part picks up right after their honeymoon. It is three stories, but they are connected by another story making it all one movie sequel.

If C2 is a sequel, then LM had about 40 prequels, Lion King had about 40 sequels, Aladdin had about 60 sequels, Hurcules has about 40 prequels, and Winnie the Pooh had about 60 as well.
Sorry, but to me a sequel is a single story not 3 and a half.
And it is because of this it was very weak and shouldn't have been referred to as C2...

All of the cartoon TV series are either sequels are prequels by Disney's own admission. When the press releases went out on these "new" shows, Disney said as much. Again, they continue or expound upon the main, first story.....the definition of a sequel or prequel.

The return of "The Golden Girls"

Now that I'd watch.

I should be on staff.

He does. We've seen him at Exposition Hall several times. He signed our book "Snow White's Prince"

If your last name is "White", why would you ruin your kids future by naming them "Snow"??????

Huh?
