'Tis a ghost town out there.

I had to go get milk (for my morning coffee) and cat food. Everything is closed (but Hardee's. ) The roads were bad, but managable. After an 1.5 hours, I finally made it home. I ended having to drive around town to get onto the interstate. My usual route home was unavailable b/c there were lots of cars in the ditch. (It's a really big hill that I was dreading going down anyway.)

We're home, safe and sound, with milk and cat food.

OH, and when we got home, my neighbors talked the plowers into plowing our driveways! Yay! I only shoveled enough to be able to back out.

It's so hard to imagine, but sounds so cool

I can visualise all the snow everywhere & to my eye that would look magical

The roads were a sheet of ice Sunday, all snowy Monday, they are fine Tuesday.

That kitty doesn't know how close it came to living on glorious people food for a few days. Glad you're out and about now.

Nutsy, being snowed in is something we don't know much about in my neck of the woods. When you live in Buffalo, New York, you are frowned upon if you don't get out there and fight through it - no matter how many feet of snow there are.

Ditto - grinningghost! New Englanders took the 20-24 inches we received in stride. Major highways were clear and traffic moving at regular speeds by the morning commute. The only time we were snowbound was the Blizzard of February 1978.

I heard on the tv this morning that you guys have more snow & blizzards on the way.

Guess you'd need waterproof boots etc to be getting out & about in hey?
