here now and having a tire issue low pressure looks like a bubble forming. Thinking I'm going to need new tires before we drive home. I have AAA. But wondering if anyone knows a good place to go in the Orlando area or even places to avoid. We are at Universal. Thanks

Do NOT drive if you have any kind of deformity in the tire -- it's going to blow. Call AAA, or get a recommendation from your hotel.

Discount Tire is a popular tire place in the Orlando area. They have several locations so do a google search for the one nearest/most convenient to you.

Absolutely agree. A bubble means air is leaking through the sidewall carcass probably impact damage like hitting a pothole, curb, or debris on the road. It will blow out if you drive on it. That tire also cannot be repaired so you will need a new one. Jim's advice is good about AAA and your hotel. The Disney Car Care Centre can probably help as well.

Tires Plus is another chain

4801 S Kirkman Rd, Orlando, FL 32811

Tire Kingdom .... 7601 Majorca Pl, Orlando, FL 32819

both of these are less than 2 miles away from Universal

nearest Discount Tire is just a lil farther 8107 S John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL

Sandlake Tire Shop is an independent 8004 Mandarin Dr, Orlando, FL also around the 2 mile radius

don't forget places like BJ's, COSTCO or SAMS if you are a member .... or even WALMART

Absolutely.

And don't drive on it! My brother's father in law said "something" was wrong with the SUV tire and drove to get it checked out, it blew, and at 45 mph the resulting accident totaled the Dodge Durango.

Have it towed.

tow?? why not put on the spare????? Even a 'donut' is sufficient to get to a tire place a couple of miles away . . . AAA will put on your spare ....

Or AAA can tow to a tire place, but that assumes you've decided on a tire place. Have you? Put on the spare and you can do a lil driving ... around to the places I mentioned to find best price anyway.

Hint: to avoid getting ripped off go to the TIRERACK.COM site and you can quickly see a range of tires in your size and price range so you know approximate cost . . . there ARE places in Orlando that try to 'stick it to' visitors ... like a couple of gas stations near the airport who prey on folks returning rental cars and needing to fill up.

(not sure how quickly you hit the road for home .... )

In addition, the Discount Tire web site will allow you to check pricing and availability of tires in the size you require so you don't waste a trip only to find the required tire is not in stock. I would expect something similar with any of the other major tire replacement chains.

Thanks All! New tires thanks to Discount tire and your suggestions. Was a quick fix less than an hour!
