Tired looking room

Have to say that I've read a few threads about some of the DVC rooms looking tired and worn out, well I'm at Royal Pacific at Universal right now and the room is worn, tired and beat up. Worst than anything I've been at in Disney. I'm looking forward to when my 5 nights are done here and I can return to WDW.

Wow, and I thought everyone always talked about how pristine the Universal resorts are. I'm surprised. We will be at Hard Rock next spring for three nights, I hope it's in good shape for the crazy Easter week price!

(Also, didn't you use to live in Maryland, or a I confusing you with someone else?)

Off topic but do you have any advice for universal, Doug? We are headed there next weekend for Harry Potter and then moving to Kidani for one night. Last-minute Labor Day trip.

For HP make sure you get there early for the resort guest extra hour. The Gringots ride has waits of over 60 minutes all day long and they actually close the line down once it is long enough to hit the park closing time.

We were there this morning at 8am and the line was already 60 minutes, so we jumped into the single rider line. First ride was 10 minute wait, second was 25 minute wait. We then hopped the Hogwarts Expresses which had a 5 minute wait, during the day this can also get up to 60 minutes. In IOA we then hit the other HP ride single rider and had only a 5 minute wait. So got to do all three all three HP rides fairly fast.

Hard Rock rooms are currently being renovated, I would think all floors would be done by spring. We stayed there April 2013 and enjoyed it, room was in pretty good shape from what I remember, just booked a few nights in November and hoping for a renovated room mainly because they are adding mini fridges and I want one.
