I know that fastpasses for the celebrity autographs are distributed before park opening. Does anyone have ideas about the time when fastpasses will be distributed on Friday? Thank you in advance.

:yoda:Does anyone know what time the Merchandise tent will open? Will they open it at 8 or will they wait until noon?:darth:

is the schedule the same for the rest of the weekends? I want to know please.:worship:
The Saturday and Sunday schedule should be the same for the rest of the weekends.

how long is the hyperspace hoopla show?? we booked the fantasmic dinner package and will have to be at the theater by 8:15! if hyperspace hoopla doesn't start until 7:45, will we be able to make it to fantasmic???
Hoopla is about 30minutes long. I don't know how strict they are with the Fantasmic! package but you could always ask at Guest Relations when you con in the morning. From the Hat to Fantasmic! it's about a five minute walk.

No idea on Friday, it does say in the map that they are distributed before park opens, so could only imagine that this would be the case.

Just wanted to talk a bit about SWW characters and where they are appearing. It's basically the same as last year with some changes:
Luke, Leia and the droids will be at Jabba's Hutt
merchandise tent.
Jedi Council (Mace Windu, Anakin, Shaak Tii, Kit Fisto) near San Francisco Street.
Chewbacca & Ewoks will be at the Speeder Bike across from Star Tours
Clone Troopers outside Premiere Theater (roaming characters)
Jawas outside Premiere Theater (roaming characters)
Queen Amidala on the side of Sounds Dangerous
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Ahsoka Tano, Asajj Ventress, Commander Cody) near Premiere Theater
Disney SWW Characters Near the ABC Commissary

it's confirmed that the fastpasses will be distributed before the park opens?

From the SWW map:
FASTPASS for autographs will be distributed at
the Disney’s Hollywood Studios™ Main Entrance
to the right of the turnstiles. Distribution may
begin prior to park opening based on demand.

you can see the map at wdwmagic

I'm going with the Saturday and Sunday schedule for the rest of the weekends.

I had a lunch booked at 3:00 which won't work with the Stars of the Saga at 3:15, will probably cancel it.

You won't be able to miss the lines for the FPs. They are on the right side of the open area as you approach HS. They will be given out before the park opens as there will be people there since early in the morning, if not the night before, depending on the person's popularity.

The Saturday and Sunday schedule should be the same for the rest of the weekends.

Thank you so much for continuing to post this info on this thread! :flower3:

We aren't going until weekend 4, but I was just able to change our dinner ADR at the Sci Fi from 7:50 to 8:20 so we won't miss the Hoopla!

Thanks again and MTFBWY! :yoda:

I have the same issue. Am thinking about trying to move Fantasmic to another day, since they have more now... Will be interested to see how it plays out for you!

I'm trying to cram too much into one day I think...

Where will Lord Vader meet & greet be?

We took our then 4-year-old son last year on the 3rd weekend and just winged it and had a great time. We did get there about 30 mins. after opening (so 9:30am).

My husband tried to get a pass to get an autograph from Ray Park and was told they were gone an hour before the park opened. So yes - if a lot of folks are out waiting (and they certainly will be the first couple of days this weekend), they will start letting people get their autograph passes before the park opens.

My advice for this weekend is that if you're a die-hard or already have the event planned, just go with it. I think it's really going to bring out the die-hard fans on Fri. because of the re-opening of the ride and the George Lucas rumor. (By the way - he will fly in early Thurs., smile for the re-opening/dedication, hop a plane and be gone. He isn't going to do autographs or anything like that.)

I have a feeling it will cool off crazy-wise by Sat. but we're going to keep an eye out for news about the event on Orlando TV stations' websites to see how things are going.

I had spoken to a CM at D-Street last week about the Star Wars Vinylmations and she said they were coming back for SWWs and supposedly at HS only. I wasn't going to hold my breath about that being true BUT an hour ago UPS dropped off our case of Star Wars vinyls!!! So it is true! They will be available!

They are super cute and I'm so glad I didn't give up and buy them on Ebay. ;)

(we mail ordered them months ago and they were never sent and sold out. So this is an awesome surprise!)

OMG!!!! this is too much for me to hear. I want to get some star wars vinyls but I'm sure they will be gone by the 3rd weekend when we r there:confused3 So sad. I collect vinyls and was hoping to get some. But thanks for the info.

If anyone here is going to Star Wars Weekends this Fri. or Sat., can you post on this thread what the park is like as far as crowds and waits for character meets and the Star Tours ride? It would be very helpful.

Anyone got a link to the just released Opening Day guide map that isn't WDWmagic. I can't save it to my iPhone from their site for some reason!
