We are traveling feb. 4-8.I have only been to Disney when it is quite warm. Any tips about what to wear in early Feb. Do we need jackets? What about shorts?

Thanks!

I have been to Disney the last week of January for the last two years. It was fairly warm during the day if the sun is out. 2 years ago it was in the 60's and we were able to lay out by the pool. I do have pictures though of wearing a sweater in the Park. Last year it was in the 50's and quite chilly. I would probably pack for both cold and warm.

we go every year about the same time in Feb...just one week later. We leave this year on the 10th. We have had days of very warm weather...into low 80s but usually around the mid to low 70's. We went to MK one time and the a.m. was fairly nice but by noon it was very windy and cold...had to buy sweatshirts for everyone cuz we forget to bring ours that day to teh park...

anyway, I always plan for a little bit of everything. we had one night last year that it got down to the high 40s and luckily we were prepared and had our jackets with us...

Just plan for all types of weather. If you're lucky enough to have the room bring sweatshirts and/or light jackets, shorts and tees, jeans and capris...etc. My husband laughs at me every year when I am packing...he wants to know why I don't bring the kitchen sink....Duh, the kitchen sink is included in the room....

We go the first 2 weeks of Feb and have used a little of everything. We wear layers. We often start the day in shorts and a sweatshirt, and take the warm layer off as the day warms up. At night you'll need pants and a jacket for sure. Often the days are nice enough for shorts, but you can get cool days too.

Like everyone else said, pack a little bit of everything. We were there last year at that time and are going again this year Feb 4-11th. It got sooo cold some nights and one day even was very cold. We were NOT prepared. I only brought one sweatshirt, my DH did not bring any...no jackets. Not good.

bring a little bit of everything to be prepared----unless you want to buy a new sweatshirt!! :) hehehehe

Thanks for the tips! It looks like there is no way to pack light in early Feb. But it still sounds better than our trip in May of 2004 when it was above 90 every day and we were all melting.

Is there any need for sandals in the parks or just for the pool?

We take sandals but we only wear them around the pool and short walks etc. We don't normally wear ours to the park becuase they aren't as comfortable as our sneakers...but I think sandals at the park can be a good idea, especially if your feet sweat alot...I think it's all a personal preference.

Enjoy your trip...

I wore scandals last year to the parks, but only because they were really comfy. Otherwise I would just wear them to the pools.

We went last year from Feb 14-18 and we wore shorts/tank tops/t-shirts during the day and went back to the room to put on jeans and sweatshirts. It got rather chilly at night! I looked up "Orlando 2005 weather" on yahoo.com and it came up with www.wunderground.com and if you scroll 3/4 down the page you can type in historical dates and it will tell you all the weather information from that day. I saw the 14-18th it was between 77-80 during the day when we were there. On accuweather it says it will be mid 60's-very low 70's when we will be there this year (same time as you). I would love to pack extremely light but looks like we will need jeans and possibly shorts during the day. Sorry maybe more info than you needed...moral...pack for all weather. Let's all pray for :sunny: !
