I am staying at POR from July 19-27. We are looking to maybe get some water and maybe a few other things sent to the resort for our stay.

I have seen a few different websites people use to do this. Mainly Garden Grocer. I have also seen Costco. I am sure there are more, but them are the ones I see on hear the most.

I am looking for some tips from fellow canadians who have done this, and can help me with things like, what site to use? How far in advance to oreder? If there is anything that needs to be done since we are canadian?

Any other tips would be nice too.

Thanks so much

We stayed at POR last October and ordered from Garden Grocer. It was really easy. I think I ordered about 1 month prior and everything was waiting at the front when we arrived. All perishables were kept in a fridge. I did find I ordered too much food, thought we would snack more than we did. Have a great time!!

We have used garden grocer twice with no problems. You can also order beer if you call.

We have also used garden grocer for every trip and have never had a problem.

Another vote here for garden grocer. I have used them 3 times and they are great. I usually set my delivery time for before our arrival so that I can pick up our groceries when we check in. They keep them in the baggage services for you. We have ordered wine and beer also and they are great and don't overcharge.

Yet another vote of confidence for Garden Grocer. We got in late and all the groceries were already in our room and unpacked when we got there.

Any chance of learning more about this, mollyseven? We are going down on Christmas Day, and I'd love to have a couple of cold ones for BIL waiting when we arrive.

But when I go on GardenGrocer's site, there is nothing about beer or wine?

We were pretty casual about it with them. I emailed them and asked about beer and wine and then emailed me back saying yes just include that in the comment section and they would add it to the bill.
I included what we would like. I think I said something like 1 bottle of XXX or similar and 12 Coors or similar....that sort of thing.
I would email them and double check this is still how they want to do it and then include that. They were totally fair with the price, just charging us the cost.
We were very happy.

I have used both and prefer garden grocer because of their web site, but wegosho was great too. When ordering liquor they do require your drivers license to be faxed to them. Never had any problems and always have gotten excactly what I wanted. Will be using them again for our upcoming trip:thumbsup2

I never had to give my drivers licence to garden grocer.

Now this was a couple of years ago.... and we knew we would not be at the resort when the delivery was going to be made. So there would be no proof of age at delivery. :confused3

thanks mollyseven -- as I mentioned, we're arriving on Christmas Day, and of course everything will be closed. I'm quite prepared to come up with a non-perishable order of cereal and stuff that could be delivered on Dec. 24. Just want to provide DH and BIL with a drink at the end of the day!

I will definitely email Garden Grocer to see what's possible. I notice that even now their weekend deliveries are getting maxed out.

Our family had a very positive experience with WeGo Shop when we stayed at CBR in 2009. :thumbsup2

I ordered online about 1 month prior to our trip and arranged delivery time with our arrival with no problems at all. Disney staff promptly delivered them once we were in the room and everything was cold and fresh. You can also order wine/beer, etc. It was nice to have cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. in the room for a quick breakfast and save our CS meals for lunches. We also bought some non-perishable snack foods for the parks. We definitely saved $$ doing this. Marge at WeGo Shop was very pleasant to deal with. We plan on using them again when we return in the Fall.

We used Garden grocer last summer. Service was great and they even delivered some alcohol for us...however...they missed a case of beer and sent us about 40 bananas that we didn't order!!!:rotfl:

We have ordered from Garden Grocer three times in the past and have had no problems. We also ordered beer through the comment section and were never asked for ID. About the timeline to order, their website is pretty good for indicating which delivery days are not available. As a PP stated we tend to order too much as well thinking that we would snack more.
