tips on going through WDW with...

If you're staying on site, take advantage of the resort transportation, and head back to your room for naps and maybe a swim in the early afternoon. Then when everyone is well rested, you can go back to the parks to enjoy your evening. Believe me, it's well worth it!

Tips:

Strollers - make sure you have a double one that will recline - especially for your younger child.

Naps - take a mid-day break so your children can nap. Even if they are napping while you're relaxing at the pool. They will definitely need down time.

Characters - make PS's for character meals instead of waiting in line for them. It is worth the cost. Pick 1 or 2 that have characters that your 4 yr. old really wants to see.

Relax & take it easy. Have a great time. :D

Hi - if your 6 mo does well with one - a baby carrier helps while in lines, or if your 4 yo wants to nap in the stroller you can still carry your baby around easily. We'll be headed to WDW with a 4 yo and a 9 mo too. Have Fun!!

Make sure you bring your own stroller. The ones at WDW are too big for the infant. We brought our son when he was 6 months old, and he did really well napping in the stroller. We also had a front carrier, but I had my husband use it. Even with a Baby Bjorn, it hurt my back when the baby got to be 20 lbs.

We are going back this month with 3 yo and 1 yo. Along with the double stroller, I bought a safety cord (leash) for the 3 yo. He tends to run off, and by reading the posts on the Harnesses thread, there are a lot of people at Disney who use these on kids between 2 and 5. If your older child tends to wander or you're worried about that, the cords are super cheap but the harnesses tend to be expensive.

Somewhere on this board there was a thread discussing the different kinds of strollers, including double strollers, if you are going to buy a new one.

Happy travels

I would definately say to stay on site, and if possible close...like the Grand Floridian, Poly, Contempory...etc. And plan on going back for naps midday. Go slow, dont rush, dont try and do it all, just pick whats really important to the 4yr old.
