Tips on flight to Europe

We are connecting in Dublin. It's killing me not to spend a couple days there and then fly to Barcelona! Next time (I'm already anticipating!), I'll look into booking the two legs separately. The only thing that would concern me is the luggage limits. I didn't really look too closely, but I recall seeing that the weight/size/number/something is more restrictive on flights between European countries, but our allowance from the overseas trip is allowed since we are just traveling through.

I don't remember size/weight for sure, but most European airlines have free checked luggage (or at least SAS and Finnair, those are the ones we flew). My FIL had a large suitcase, and it was over weight at one point, but we redistributed and it was fine. So the size restriction is not too small. But you can easily get that info if you go to the website.

I recommend checking out Icelandair. We had a stopover in Iceland and went to Copenhagen. We really enjoyed the flights.
