HI all...

I just finished booking my July 10-15th honeymoon at WDW (staying Port Orleans- French Quarter w/ dining).

I've never been in July (my family used to go during the Fla. resident months, but now I'm in Australia and go whenever I'm home) and am not quite sure what to expect regarding crowds, heat, wait times, etc....

Any tips or info would be MORE than appreciated.

Cheers.

I am going back again this year in July. I love July. Arrive at the parks early. It was not uncommon to see wait times at Splash over 80 minutes when we were there. Also, it is very hot. You will see many people with those hand held water mister fans. Everyone also assumes that it storms every day in the summmer, but I have been twice (June and July) and it didn't rain our entire trip. With that said, I do always plan on a shower in the afternoon, but we have been lucky to avoid them. Have fun on your honeymoon!

We went last year in July and it was VERY HOT. We still loved it, but be prepared to encounter long lines and high temperatures in the afternoons. Make sure you get an early start and consider going back to your resort for a rest or pool stop in the heat of the afternoon. Also, make sure you take advantage of fastpass. It will surely cut your wait times considerably. Have a wonderful honeymoon and enjoy Disney!

It is very hot :furious: , but as long as you drink plenty of water you'll be OK. I live up north, and don't mind the heat because it's not snow! :rotfl2:

Hydration pac is the way to go in the real hot days.It will help keep you back cool and you can get FREE cups of ice water at the CS places to keep it filled.

We do EEH then as park get busy we hit a water park or pool at the resort. Then back to a park for the evening.

We always go in July It's great, very, very busy, but great. Hot - in the 90's almost every day we were there, every year we went. The sun is brutal, we all wear ball caps to keep our faces (and parts in our hair) from burning. Also lots of sunscreen. And we always seem to get rain for 1/2 hour or so. Use the fast pass and still be prepared to wait. But the excitement is wonderful when the parks are that busy. We always do AK 1st thing in the morning as the animals seem to hide later in the day. And love to end the day at MGM for Fantasmic or at MK for the fireworks.

Keep an eye on the Weather Channel. Last year a hurricane caused lots of rain on our last day. We stupidly waited till the last day for MK and missed fireworks due to the weather. If we had went earlier in the week we would have been much happier.

I hope you have a great trip. We have been going for years and our children are teenagers now. We still love to go.

We enjoy June/July, have been to DWD for July 4 about 3 diffeent trips. Its great to be in Disney for July 4th. Crowds are of course are the highest, hot; but that's fine with us. We'll miss July 4th this year a few days. Fireworks are fabulous in MK and Epcot.

We always go in July. The heat is really not that bad. Maybe I just don't notice it from all the excitement at WDW. Trust Me! Being with your new DH at the Happiest Place on Earth--you won't notice the heat! :sunny:
