I have done thorough research
FPs--CHECK
Touring plans--CHECK
Daily rope drop--CHECK
Drifit shirts, socks, shorts, walking shoes--CHECK
Frogg Toggs--CHECK

Yes it will be hot. (we have been week of Labor Day so figure comparable--and we find there is lots of shade, misters, indoors w/ A/C that it really doesn't bother us--or maybe it is because it is hot & humid much of our summer at home too)

Yes it will be busy, particularly over the weekend, but hopefully FPs/Touring Plans/Rope drop will help (we have done all that every trip & while they balked originally, they realize this minimizes wait times & allows them to do MORE)

Any personal experience? Tips?

Flying out tomorrow!!!

No tips, but I am following since we will be there sunday 5/28 - Saturday 6/3

will be there next weekend, doing AK Saturday it will be hot and crowded, make sure you drink a lot of water.

We are driving up from South Florida tomorrow. We will be there 5/25-5/29.

There is supposed to be bad weather coming thru today, 5/24. Hope it gets thru fast so we won't have to drive thru it tomorrow!

Dive safely I live in north part of FL and it is crazy here, I do hope it stops before you leave, Can you leave a few hour latter if it dose not pass.

Body Glide!!! is hot and humid, body glide or just plain deodorant will help a lot to make your day enjoyable, embrace the weather, try not to backtrack to much. And always have a indoor attraction as a backup if the heat is overwhelming. Have a great trip!

Thanks.

Yes, we were thinking we might have to wait. Sorry to hear it is bad where you are. We will be watching it carefully!

I will be there at the same time. I'm concerned about Memorial Day crowds, so I'll be following this as well. Thanks!

We are headed to the airport here in about an hour. Our 3rd straight Memorial Day at Disney.
It's not all that crowded really.
AK will be this year, obviously. The rest, not too bad. Not too hot either. It's a favorite non-school time to go for us.

This is a relief to hear from someone who really knows! Thanks for taking the time to respond on your way out the door....have a great trip!

We went for Memorial Day two years ago arriving on the Sunday before Memorial Day. I was hoping with the earlier arrival, Memorial Day was the 25th, that crowds would be a little lower. I would guess that crowds were maybe 10% heavier than the typical mid June crowds when we usually go. We had fairly good luck getting a fourth and fifth FP at the MK. Weather was threatening most of the trip, but it really only hard on our last day at the beach.

Leaving tomorrow!! :yay: This is my 3rd time starting a Disney trip on Memorial weekend. As long as you have a plan you're waaaaay more prepared than the vast majority of guests. We take breaks and leave the parks around the hottest part of the day (somewhere between 1-5pm) for at least a few hours. It's not, but not July hot. We love this week for our Disney vacay!! Hope you have a blast!! pixiedust:

It's been very dry and july hot for weeks.. although a few days of rain is helping that go back down so hopefully it stays.

We don't leave until June 3rd but following so I have an idea of what weather and crowds will be like that first week of June. Hope all of you going this week have a great trip!
