I am planning 1 week in disney in May for my husbands b-day (may 5th) my sons b-day (may 9th) my daughters 1st b-day (may 7th) and mothers day. (VERY BIG WEEK FOR US!!!!) I have been to WDW 29 times but never with an infant. I have read many many tips on suggestions for the parks with the baby but I am have a hard time finding tips on sleeping arrangements at either All Star Sport or CBR.

I am interested in how the pack and pay fit in the room or how you made it work. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

plan on what is normal for you and your daughter - we took my older two kids when they were 18mos old - and the trip just flowed - and then when my third was born (a surprise) we already had a trip planned for the time he would be 6 mos old - so we just went and since he always traveled w/the older kids activities he just went along w/everything - and as i see that you have an older child - i assuming that the baby would kind of be like that -

for the porta-crib - it usually fits in a corner - though a couple of times we moved it between the bed so that if the baby woke up during the night we were close (usually the first couple of nights because he was unfamiliar w/the room)

there's always room by the a/c unit for daytime storage - but at night i tried to move it away from this because it would get too cold (also ask for extra sheets to keep the air from blowing too hard on the baby)

it your baby is used to the porta-crib and you're driving and you have the room - take your own - so that they are familiar w/the smell - but if this is not possible - make sure you ask for one when you get your reservation - disney has a lot of them and is used to this request

for the parks - we let the baby sleep in the stroller (and brought our own so that we had it from the hotel to the bus and from the bus to the parks) because it was easier than having to move back and forth between the parks and hotel multiple times a day

Well, when we took our daughter at 8 months, we took our own pack and play just because it was christmas and I was terribly afraid that they would all be taken and there was absolutely no way my daughter would go to sleep without being pinned up in something (hmm, that sounds awful) Anyway, it worked out really well. We put it between the tv and the table. It was far enough away from the air conditioner so the air wasn't blowing on her and it was close enough to the bed if we needed to get her (at the time she was waking up once a night). Only problem we had was we wished we had a night light. It was pretty dark in the room in the middle of the night to be wandering around. The other sleep issue we had while we were there was that it was very hard for her to settle down. We pretty much had to put her in the pnp and turn off all the lights. If there was even a little light showing, she thought something fun was going on and wanted to be up. So, for about 15 minutes each night we had to lay quiet in the bed in pitch dark listening to her cry until she fell asleep. That was a little weird and oddly during that time my husband always decided he needed to go get a refill on his coffee so he got to miss all of the "fun".
All in all, it wasn't so bad. It took a night or so to figure all that out though.
If you are using disney's pnp, I'd definitely bring my own sheets-although I've heard the ones they bring you have mickey's on them! :)

I am going in Nov. with my DD who will be 17 mos. What attractions/ activities would you most recommend for that age? :confused3 I have recently been to AK and EPCOT but haven't been to the MK in 30 years - can't wait!

Our dd #1 has been to Disney 5 times since she was 14 months old. DD #2 has been 3 times since she was 6 months old. We leave in less than 3 weeks for DD #1's 3rd Bday trip. We tend to stay at our DVC accommodations in a 2 bedroom but they had no availibility for our last minute bday trip so we are staying at POR. We are a party of 6, our boys are 17 and 15. Our girls are used to the family bed so we are bringing an inflatable mattress, the trundle is to short for either of our boys. We were unable to book 2 rooms due to lack of availibility and our group techniquely fits the room limits with the trundle. It is going to be a difficult trip in that room. But we will be at Disney we will get over it.

Advice for taking the little ones: Go at their pace! They can ride anything without a height requirement which is alot stuff especially at the MK and Epcot.

Build in nap/rest time for every day. If possible schedule a down day just for the pool, putt-putt, surrey bikes, etc.
