I need help from all you experienced parents :worship:
My DD is 5 on friday :lovestruc but as you can imagine I still need to get her out of the door and to school on time
What do you do to celebrate it but keep it cool and calm? We have a few presents for her but the main one is the (WDW) cinderella castle (you may have seen a seperate thread re: my excitement over this) which I have already decided to give her when she gets home. So maybe smaller gifts and cards only in the morning.
Any tips welcome.....
Thank you.

We give cards+pressies in the morning from family(mostly it is money-so thats quite quick)Cards+a couple of pressies from us in the morning+we promise that there is an extra special present that will be waiting for her when she comes home. This then gets our dd out of the door on time(knowing that she does'nt really want to go to school on her birthday)with something exciting to look forward to when she gets home.I also bake cakes the night before for the children+teachers in her class. So she looks forward to taking them in.x.

We had no problems with time for presents on a birthday morning as the kids would always get up ultra early on their birthdays so we would have all the pressies before school - but they had to choose only one to play with before school.
Make sure she has a birthday badge to wear and everyone will wish her happy birthday all day long.
I used to like to meet them from school with a helium balloon when they were at primary school.

(Check with the school if you are taking in cakes so allergy problems can be avoided.)

Thanks for the advice.
I think she'll be pretty good, and I don't think I actually have much to worry about. However, she is prone to getting over excited!
DH is at home too so I have another pair of hands to help!
She has nice presents to come home to - my Mum has bought her a trendy fish tank so we are going shopping for fish as well after school.

I have bought Disney princess and Cars personalised two finger kit kats from ebay for her classmates...we are banned from taking nuts into school and I dont have time to bake with people coming to stay and party to organise.

I bought the choc bars too off of ebay-High School Musical ones for dd party on sun for the childrens party bags.x.

sounds like you have a lovely day planned, hope your dd has a great birthday:goodvibes
