I have seen some great tips on the other boards but I wanted to get specific with tips to organize the room with a baby and tons of baby gear. Thanks all!

I'm thinking you mean the hotel room? Which hotel are you staying at? When we stayed at a budget with DS, it got cramped quickly with the Pack&Play and stroller, but the moderates have tons of room and storage.

The first two trips, we used the 2nd bed in the room to put all his stuff on...set up a changing mat on there, laid out his clothes, etc.
The most recent trip, DS used the other bed, so I put all of his stuff in the pack&play that we had planned on using if the bed didn't work ;)

Unless you're planning on spending a lot of time in the room, you don't need to bring TOO much gear (like toys, bouncy seat, etc.). I do suggest bringing things to make sleep as "normal" as possible - like favorite blanket, music, stuffed animal, etc.

I always set up a diaper changing area so I'm not hunting for wipes, dipes, and creamies all over the place when I'm in a hurry.

We leave strollers (yes 2 of them, as close to the door as possible and leave diaper bags in them (restock night before)

Sippy cups go near fridge and coffee maker (if I have a sink in that area otherwise near bathroom sink)

PJ's, special sleeping blankies and loveys go right in pac n play before we head out of room ( I use my own sheets on pac n play so no need for housekeeping to disturb this stuff)

keep swim diapers, sunscreen, hats, pool flipflops, floaties, balls/pool toys, and kids suits all together in a pool type bag under sink area or in one closet

I'm sure it all depends on # of children and age and size of room, etc. but those are our basics

Someone on another website suggested using an over-the-door shoe holder (the vinyl kind with pockets to hold the shoes) to organize the room - she uses it for her stuff but it would probably work well for some of baby's stuff too. Some of them will even fit on the closet rail depending on how they are designed. I always set out our clothes the night before to make getting ready in the mornings easier. If you have more than just baby in your party and need to use the other bed for someone to sleep, the moderates have a bench which would work for a changing table area. The values are a bit cramped for space when you add in the crib (pack 'n play) and stroller if you are bringing your own, but it can be done. If you only have the 3 of you, request a king room - you'll have slightly more floor space.

We are staying at the Poly so I think that I can use the day bed as my changing area etc. thanks for the tips!:goodvibes
