Hi,
We will have both the Magic Morning and the MTTMM. We are not early morning people so I was wondering if you "pros" thought it would be ok to use them on different days or if you think we should use them on the same day?

Also, what is the fastest and best way to get to Toontown once you come in to use your MTTMM??

Thanks!

Ohhh ,,, I am curious as well. I did not use the MTTMM last year, but plan to this year. Good question.

We had our MTTMM experience when DS was just under 3.5, so right in between the OP's kids' ages.

We decided to do MM and MTTMM on different days. I didn't want to have one HUGE morning, then the other mornings might feel "blah". To do both would mean to get to the gates before MM time, go in, rush through Fantasyland, then time it so we weren't in a line as the park opened. Get over to TT, get there for the little ceremony parade thing, then either ride the two rides or meet the characters. Felt too rushed, and it would have been hard to really figure out if that's what the little dude wanted to do. Even now at almost 5 I think he might say "yes I want to do both", then be completely exhausted by the rushing around.

So from our experience and decision, I would do it on two different days.

Remember that MTTMM doesn't get you up any earlier than just getting to the parks at opening does. TT normally opens an hour *after* DL opens, and on the Madness days it opens at the time DL opens. So if you were going to be there on time for opening, it's no different.

And there's really only one way there...through the castle, through Fantasyland, take a left, go to TT. I guess you could grab the train, but the station doesn't put you out into TT. Rather it puts you out in the corner of Princess Fantasy Faire, then you have to get out of that area and do a switchback to TT's entrance. It might not save time, especially if you are taking strollers (gotta empty and fold 'em up for the train).

Same days? I didn't know they were offered on the same days?
We were there over Easter and had them on different days. MM was on S,T,TH&S. MTTMM was on MWF
We did MM on Tuesday and MTTMM on Wednesday.
I would say get to MTTMM early for a couple reasons,
It starts with meet and greets, so bring your autograph book.
They also pick an "honorary family" that gets to wear sashes and gets special recognition. Also you'll want a good seat. :) they perform a show on the stage it's real cute and everyone stands up once it starts, so it can be hard to see especially for little ones.
We really enjoyed it.

There's at least one day of overlap b/c MTTMM is also on 4 days. I think Saturday is the shared day.

How do you get the MTTMM? I know that the MM you can get with your hopper ticket or if you stay at one of the Disney hotels, but what about the other?

Thanks for the input. I thought I read a tip about taking the train to get there faster but I know what you mean about the strollers.

MTTMM is often a "bonus" part of a package you can buy (we bought ours thru AAA - Costco offers the same thing). I've heard that some people sell the passes on ebay or craigslist, but I haven't ever looked to see if that is true.

Where is the best place to sit/stand to see the MTTMM show/parade?

Alas, that's where my knowledge ends. The day we went we didn't see a parade as it was threatening rain... And we were picked as the TT family of the day (no sashes, though, boo!), and as soon as we were introduced and I said we were from Tacoma...the heavens opened up and it started pouring rain, and everyone ran for cover. It was kinda funny. But not a normal Morning Madness morning.

There's also a thread going on this forum for people who want to go to MTTMM, but not quite enough to book a package including it, LOL, and people who booked the packages but are NOT going to use the vouchers can go in and give the vouchers away. It's a self-maintained list in order of either when people signed up or when their trips are...I'm not sure a whole ton of people have been successful in getting vouchers, but some have.

I don't think it's worth paying for, except maybe $5 per person (remember that the under-3s don't need a voucher), if you didn't get the package. So I think ebay is kinda silly. But hey, it's important for some people. I'm glad I experienced it, I don't need to do it again, but at least I *know* that.

Have fun!

It isn't a parade it's a show :) there is a stage before mickeys house behind the gazebo. There are tables and chairs for the couple eateries there. You want to sit at the front of the stage :)

What is MTTMM??

The following is from this link:

Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness

If you booked your Disneyland Package through Walt Disney Travel Company (or a Travel agency such as Dreams Unlimited Travel), you can wake up on one day of your stay and join the Mayor of Toontown for Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness an hour before Toontown opens to the general public. The Mayor of Toontown, Mickey Mouse, is on hand for the ceremony where everyone “becomes” a citizen of Toontown. Your favorite characters will be showing off their homes and playing games. Don’t forget to bring your autograph books!

I had an opportunity to experience Mickey’s Toontown Morning Madness last year and had a great time! Little ones will enjoy the interaction with the characters without the long lines and the comedy routine was a lot of fun. Another great benefit of attending Mickey’s Toontown Morning Magic is that you are in the park prior to the general public. A little hint is to head directly to a popular ride in the park as soon as Morning Madness is over, this will get you a jump on the line.

Mickey’s Toontown Morning Madness is available for one morning throughout the length of ticket on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday. You must have a valid multi-day admission ticket to enter the park. The Characters and days offered are subject to change so please check your daily schedule.
