We've never been down in the fall (Detroit to Orlando) but my daughter is going to do CP, so DH and I want to go see her. It has to be Thurs-Sun or Sat- Tues due to my teaching job. It will not be close to Thanksgiving.
The flights I have been checking are crazy! I got $225 per ticket for June, 7 months out. Am I looking too early? I have prices of 400 and up-- even Spirit(which I never want to fly)!!! Of course SWA is not open for November yet.
Can someone with experience in the fall tell me if I should expect these prices or if they will head down soon?

Anyone? Bueller? I know no on is clairvoyant but I have never flown in the fall and don't know whether I should wait or pay more for 2 tickets than I paid last time for 4.

Wait for Southwest to open, once they do, other airlines will occasionally bring their prices down.
