I'm feeling kind of land locked in imagining transportation choices at VWL. Being used to BCV I became pretty good at late night transportation back to the resort. If MGM was open late, I new we could get a late dinner at any of the resort hotels and be sure a bus back to MGM where we would then walk back to BCV. Obviously, late night dinners at EPCOT & Boardwalk were no problem. I like to book dinner about 9 pm so I always have to have a return plan in mind. Anyone with similiar habits and tips for late night (10:30 - 11pm) travel back to VWL? Oh, one more thing, I'm laughing because at some point, don't know when, 11 pm became "late night". Ugggh.:3dglasses

ok, this made me smile ... but sorry, I can't help you, because 11pm is like the middle of the night for me. :rotfl2:

Any park that is open will have transportation back to WL. If for some reason you are out after all the parks have closed DTD will act has your transportation transfer point. If your out later than that(some time after the PI clubs close at 2am) you will need to take a taxi home.

With late evening hours at the parks there is still a good possability you can still use the park that is open late as a transportation hub, faster then the DTD Route.

Cab it....unless a park is open late and convenient.

The good thing is, you're not "landlocked", there are boat options from MK and from the Contemporary and FW. If you were more specific about where you will be eating, I could give some specific examples of your options, like, take the monorail from Epcot to the TTC, then switch to the MK monorail, then grab a boat to the WL from the MK (or take the resort monorail and hop off at the CR and then grab a boat to WL).

That being said, I agree that sometimes a cab is a good option. It's not very expensive either.

Where were you last year when I couldn't get back from the AKL at 10 PM with three kids????:rotfl:

Another idea, if your at a restraunt late at another resort, you can always ask the bell hop at the drive if they could assist you. On several occasions, instead of a cab, the fine cast members at WL & Poly have given us rides to where we needed to go or return. I would suggest that you be "loose" with your tip so they remember you the next time. If there aren't alot of people checking in they seem to be "thrilled" to assist!
