Hello, 15 of us (7 adults, 8 kids 2-15yrs) will be traveling to WDW in June 07, and want to go to the Hoop De Doo. The last time we went there, we only had 2 kidos. Anyway, does anybody know of a link where I can see tips and/or recommendations for the Hoop De Doo with young kids?

Thanks, in advance, for your help!

(Hope this was the right place to post this)

I can give you my :thumbsup2 for this show with kids! We were there the first week of Oct. with a group of 20, who ranged in age from 72 to 4, and everyone had a great time! Everyone raved about it the whole trip. We followed it with a Wishes cruise that picked us up right at the Ft. Wilderness dock. This was our first night, and it really was a great start to our vacation. I highly recommend it!

My tip is for younger picky eaters...they offer pizza, hotdogs, mac & cheese. I saw all 3 of those sitting at tables on my way out. Perhaps you need to request those ahead of time.

We went in 2003 and my boys have not stopped talking about it. They were 5 and 7 then. I have it planned for oldest son's 10th birthday when we go next month. Shhh it's a surprise.

It's just a lot of fun and by no means is it quiet. They are constantly bringing out food. Be ready to eat when you get there.

No need to request them ahead of time...your server will honor any and all requests, as long as it is something that is served at the Trails End Buffet next door :thumbsup2 . We always ask for a bowl of Mac 'n Cheese - never a problem.

We went last year and it was a hoot. The food was good and the show was great. We will definitely do it again. Next trip we are going to give Spirit of Aloha show a try.

We'll be going in April. I can't wait either. I have read so many positive things about this show.

Kirstan's mommy ~ I'm going to look into this Wishes Cruise now too. I haven't heard of that! That does sound like a perfect start to a vacation.

We did that last year and the show was very cool. I don't know if the kids got the story, but they loved the effects. Food was good.

The resort was just beautiful. We walked around after and man, one day I hope we can stay there.

My advice is to be careful of the Sangria wine. I was thirsty plus not paying attention and before I knew it I had consumed two glasses. I am not normally a drinker.

Well I had a great time and the show was incredible but my DH's swears that I sat on the boat back to WL with another woman who was as suitable happy as I was. The story goes that she and I sang to the entire boat for the trip back. :rotfl: I have no idea who she was but I guess we had a great time.

DH says her family was just as embarressed as mine was and the literally dumped the two of us together in the bow of the boat and then both families retreated to the stern. To top it off I can NOT sing a single note in tune but I certainly love to belt out the words! :rotfl:

So if you have a similar story to mine..... :wave2: and nice sitting with you!

Seriously we have seen HDDR twice now and it is really a lot of fun. Just relax sit back and enjoy the show. Before you know it you will be laughing and playing the washboard with the best of them.

My prior boss used to RAVE about HDDR. So last trip we went & I must say I am now raving about it. I am so glad we went. Even my shy 17yr old DS got into it & was cracking up!!!! We all enjoyed it so much. I would recommend this show to anyone!!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We are going in March '07 and plan on Hoop De Doo our first night there. Also a large group. I am happy to hear all the great reviews, it's our first trip to WD. Just looking for more information on the Wishes Cruise. Can anyone tell me where to find out more?
Thanks! :cool1:

My favorite part of the trip is watching my 2 DDs watch the show.
We book the Hoo Dee Doo before we book our hotel and plane.
Can't wait for April!!!!

Catch the boat over from the Magic Kingdom as it's the easiest way of getting there. The show's great fun.

Best advice -- book now so you'll have front row (and don't use DDP -- spring for the best seats). It's hard to enjoy the show while seated at the back, IMO.

Back a few years ago, we went to HDDR for the first time. My dd wanted nothing more than to have her 13th birthday at HDDR after seeing it that first time. So, we were there last week, celebrating that birthday, with another mom and her soon to be 13 y/o dd. I have a shot of the two girls, looking up at the stage (I booked two years ago, so got right up against the stage seating), with the most beautiful expressions on their faces. Even the other girl and her mom loved the show...I was a bit nervous that they would think it was hoke or something. But, it was a huge hit...the girls never stopped laughing and the other mom took two days to stop singing that stupid 'Hoop dee doo review, hoop dee doo review, hoop dee doo review' song!!!!

We're going in a month! :) This will be our first time, and we are going the last night of our trip.. going out with a bang! :)

HDD is one of the "special things" DD23 requested for her college graduation trip! We'll be there in January.

I am going to Hoop Dee for the first time next week. We used the dining plan. Is there anyway to "upgrade" my seats? Are they assigned based on when you first buy them? When you first pick up the tickets? Here's hoping for some pixie dust!
