Tips for going during Star Wars weekend

Hi everyone,

We will be there during the first weekend of SWW, however we are not interested in SW. We plan on attending MK and HS during our 3 days (Sun, Mon, Tues).

I imagine we should stay clear of HS on Sunday. Are there any other touring tips to keep in mind during this time? I've looked at crowd calendars and the number seems reasonable, but I'm not sure how or if SWW will play a part during the time we are there.

Any thoughts or experiences would be helpful. If it helps we will have a 3 yr old and will not be riding BTMRR or SM type rides.

the Star Wars events (other than the two special character meals) only take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so there will be no impact from SWW whatsoever Monday or Tuesday.

Just had to add, if you have any chocolate lovers in your group, grab a Darth Vader cupcake at many of the counter service places at DHS. They're available 7 days a week during Star Wars Weekends, and they are soooooooo good!!!

Sorry I'm a little out of the loop but can someone tell me when is star wars weekend and is it just one weekend. I was planning a trip May 1st for 5 days *** to avoid the spring breakers

Your trip will not coincide with a SWW which starts May 16.
