Tips for getting into the DCP?

I applied last minute last time and did not get in. I am going to apply again as soon as applications are open. Since I didn't get in last time I want to come back better than before. With volunteering, jobs, ect. on my resume. Can anyone give me some tips on what might impress them more this time? Thanks!

Hi. Disney says that it doesn't matter when you apply but I think it is best to apply early. Did you make it to the phone interview last time? If you check out my blog in my signature I have a list of popular questions as well as tips for the phone interview. Also you will want to narrow down your choices. It is perfectly acceptable to choose No Interest for some roles. I actually had 7 that I did not want to do at all.

From everything I have heard they 100% do rolling admissions, which means they accept people to certain spots as they go, rather than waiting for a certain number of applicants and selecting from those, so the earlier the better. Start checking in early August, apps usually come out mid to late August.

As far as your top choices, be sure you can discuss WHY you would be good in those roles. Do you have relevant experience? Are you studying that in school? Why are you passionate about that job?

And if there is a job you really don't want, don't put it on your application. If you don't want to do quick service, put no interest and leave it at that. Because there is always a chance you'll get stuck in a job you didn't want to begin with.

Just answer honestly, but dont limit yourself to one position. Be willing to apply for 4 or more, but dont apply for a position you hate. If you get to a phone interview just be yourself. Be honest and be excited.
