Tips for getting into Remy?

We are thinking of taking our first cruise ever on the Disney Dream, primarily because I would like to go to Remy, Vanellope's sweet shop, and to get a cabana on Castaway Cay. This will just be for my husband and I. Are there any tips that will help us get a Remy reservation? Would a concierge room provide any benefit to getting in?

I doubt that you will have trouble getting into Remy, even as a first-time guest. When we dined there a few months ago, there were many empty tables. The worst-case would be that your preferred night is booked and you need to choose a different night.

It will be far more difficult to get a cabana. If you have your heart set on a cabana, booking Concierge would be beneficial, because cabanas do book up quickly but can be booked by Shoreside Conceirge as soon as booking opens.

I don't think you'll have an issue with Remy. It's a very specific kind of treat for most people that isn't for everyone. We did three times at Remy last cruise (dinner, brunch, dessert) and it wasn't fully booked each time.

Remy is much more expensive than Palo and it's easier to get a reservation. Good choice, by the way. I LOVE Remy.

I recommend Palo brunch too if there is one on your cruise.

A cabana is hard to get, especially on the Dream, unless you are sailing concierge.

We had Cabana #25 on Serenity Bay last week. It was great. Last cabana of the small cabana section (only 4 on serenity bay), it felt very private.

Since this is your 1st cruise with DCL, you will not be able to reserve any excursions, the adult only restaurants (Palo or Remy), meet and greet tickets, or cabanas until your online check-in date, which is 75 days before your sail date. Platinum and concierge guests check-in 120 days before, gold check-in is at the 105 day mark, and silver is 90 days out. If you have your heart set on reserving Remy and a cabana; the only sure way of getting these as a first-time cruiser would be to book a concierge stateroom. You would then be able to utilize the shore-side concierge services. They will take your requests 125 days before your cruise and book them for you right at the 120 day mark.

So you have never been on a DCL cruise but you want a cabana? Just wondering why. We are platinum going on a double dip to CC, and was not able to get a cabana for either day. If you want to guarantee on you better go concierge.

And if you book a concierge room, better do it before the 125 day mark if you want to take full advantage of being able to prebook with the shore side concierge prior to platinums booking window opening at 120 days.

I think you won't have an issue getting into Remy... the challenge will be getting a cabana as a first time cruiser... it's hard to get one because they book fast... best bet is to go concierge if you want a cabana... if cabana isn't as important then you can get into Remy without being concierge

Cabanas are a bit easier to get on Serenity Bay(adults only). If you are not able to book online before you sail, I suggest you go right to the Port Adventure desk as soon as you board and ask to be put on a waitlist for a cabana on SB. I have gotten lucky twice doing this. Once on SB and once on FB.

We boarded early and one of us headed straight to Remy to book for a party of 6. We were able to get the time and day we wanted and we were first time cruisers.
