Tips for getting Braces off

Hey people,

I am getting my braces off May 21st and i was wondering if you had any tips for me. Such as "Do they hurt?". It would really help because I am the first out of all my friends to get my braces off.

I got mine off about 3 weeks ago. They don't hurt at all. it's an easy process, they just snap the brackets off with a tool. they come off so easily.

then they smooth out the adhesive... this is annoying but it doesn't hurt...

no hurting involved. as long as you wear your retainer

I got mine off last Tuesday, it doesn't hurt, at all.
It just kinda feels weird when they clean the glue off..

i got mine off twice and have them on again.


but s fr as hurting...it doesnt. not at all. it does feel a little wierd not having the braces htere anymore, but that goes away as soon as you put on your retainer.

Doesn't hurt at all.

Wear your retainers so you don't have to get new retainers like I did (although, to be fair, my mouth was still growing, I got them off when I was only in 6th grade. I am now a sophomore in college ).

I remember my lips felt funny and puffy because I had been used to having them out around my braces, and now they laid flat against my teeth. You get used to it though.

No braces rocks!

Nope, it doesn't hurt. And like most people said, it does feel a little weird, but I was just too excited to know they were actually coming off. haha


Just be sure and don't do what I did. When you get your retainer, don't throw it away in the trash at Disney, cause you aren't getting it back! hahaha...

Ooohh the scraping. They scrape the glue off your teeth. That sound is just.. *shudder*.

Expect to have a lot of cavaties. And retainers suck.

It doesnt hurt at all.

But wear your retainer all the time !
I don't, my teeth are sorta messed up but not really....
...Just wear it. Trust Me.
