Tips for experiencing Disney Cruise Lines on a budget

Also, if you transfer your cruise to a travel agent (not sure how that works since you already paid in full?) but you can get on board credit (OBC), which you can put toward your tips. And please do get off at Castaway Cay! It's amazing and won't cost you anything extra, as others have said!!
I would definitely do this. If cruise prices are the same as when you booked, I would cancel and rebook with a TA. Small hassle for free money. May even take care of your tips.

-You can prepay your gratuities by calling them on the phone before your trip. It's $12 per person per day unless you want to give more.
-Don't drink (much), don't get massages, don't do the specialty restaurants, and don't buy too many souvenirs.
-Use cash on your account rather than a credit card (it is easy to forget how much you are spending if a credit card is there to cover it all.) Make a note each time you spend something to keep track of it.

Personally, I think you can have a great CC day without spending anything. My husband and I went to Serenity Bay and just relaxed there all day - no excursions or anything. The food is included in your fare...we just ordered a couple of drinks and that was all we had to pay for.
We have done this many times and had a great day!
