Going to DL and Universal in October 14-19 then going to San Diego for a cruise. Any tips on what to do? When are the DL Halloween events and which ones are worthwhile to go to for 2 adults. How about Universal? hear their Halloween nights are great but will they be going on when we're there?

any help would be great.

Thanks

The last time we were there around Halloween was 2001 and Disneyland didn't have much going on for the holiday. That was the first year they had the NBC Haunted Mansion Holiday which was pretty neat. We were there the last weekend in October thru the first weekend in Nov. Small World was closed for its Christmas makeover but opened on Friday of the Nov weekend. Oct 31st was Wed of that week. DCA didn't have anything going on for Halloween as that was their first year opened.

FYI: Knott's Berry Farm is close by and has a separte ticketed event for the nighttime for Halloween. It is a pretty big deal. You could go just for the night event and not the day if you wanted.

We haven't done Universal's Halloween events, but we have gone to Six Flag Magic Mountain's before. Friday is a good day for this cause kids are still in school. You don't have to pay extra for their events which beginning later in the evening. They had about 4 haunted houses and characters thruout the park. Pretty cool. Also during the day there were few crowds and we got to ride everything as much as we wanted. Good timing on that one.

Whichever you try, I would suggest going to each website for details, but most if not all of these will have events starting the beginning of October.
