My son will be 3 years old when we go Disney Paris in 10 months, any tips? This is my first trip with my son, i've only been with mates and my parents lol.
Anything will be helpful, especially where the babysitting service :) Thanks guys xxx

Yes, most importantly take a pushchair, even if you son no longer uses one normally, it will be essential in DLP. He will be a lot less tired, he'll be able to take a quick nap when exhaustion hits, and very importantly, it will be a lot easier for you go to from one place to another!!

It's also a good idea to plan and book some meals - personally I'd recommend buffets since your son will not pay anything (my DD has a really good appetite so it worked out great). It's also good to have the meals booked to avoid going from restaurant to restaurant with a hungry child, looking for a place to eat. We also try to go to eat early to the counter-service restaurants (around 11:30) to avoid the rush of people, overall it's a much more pleasant experience, particularly with children.

Don't plan too much into a day, the rhythm is very different when you're travelling with a child. I find it's better to have shorter days in the park (and go for more days) than trying to cram everything into a couple of days. First day you might be OK but soon you'll have an exhausted, grumpy child with you that doesn't want to do anything (at least that was my painful experience). My daughter is now 5 and we still try to either leave early, or at least give her some time to sleep in her chair. For us going to the Starbucks in the Disney Village works great in getting her to sleep (even if it's just for 30 minutes)

One attraction my daughter has always loved in the labyrinth, I think because it's the one place we let her walk ahead, she loves telling us where to go. If they are open, the playgrounds (in Adventureland and Frontierland) are also great for letting them run around for a bit...

Thanks guys! we're going for 5 days, so hopefully we'll do everything. Tyler's very energetic, unfortunately he tends to really wake up in the evening. He hates going to bed, but try and wake him and he winges lol. Thinking of doing him a package up aswell, coz he loves having a rucksack with him, i'll have one, but he can have an autograph book etc in his?

Can u rent prams in the park? Just thinking carrying it all in the airport.. xx

Yes, you can rent them at the park. Note though that if you want to take it from one park to another they ask you to pay a caution (60 EUR I think? Could be wrong), which you get back when you return it. You also won't be able to take it back to the hotel.

We've done pushchair with APs - it's a breeze and saved us a fortune! Plus, you don't have the hassle of not being able to take out of one park to the other as you just drop, walk to the other park, then pick up another.

I'd say take some snacks with you that he likes from home - I've even been known to take bananas or apples in a plastic container (or Organix fruit pots) in my suitcase lol! Buffets are a great idea with little ones as they can pick and you don't feel they have to eat everything on their plate!

You know your son best, but I personally didn't bother with bags on them until they were a bit older. As I'd be constantly making sure they didn't leave it somewhere, or trying to fish out the auto book etc!

Take a few bin liner bags for their pushchairs if you do rent otherwise if it rains they get soaked! Or if you take your own, don't forget the raincover!

ok thanks, i want to get an annual pass but no point coz we don't go as often as we'd like to and they only for a year so for one trip, they won't be worth it xx

Its a long time since we hired a pushchair but we once queued over an hour to get it! Think about buying a cheap one which you don't mind getting bashed on the plane and you can even leave in a bin if u can't be bothered to take it home lol! Don't leave valuables on it when you ride or eat as things do taken. The other drawback with the park ones is they are all identical and the name cards are often covered with coats etc so trying to find yours among 30 others can take a while !

Have you already booked your hotel? When we went with a 3-year-old in 2014, we found it really worth it to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, which made it easy to pop back to the hotel for a short break when necessary. I doubt we'll be willing or able to stay there again, but it made a huge difference.

Don't book any fancy restaurants. Sure, your child's food will be free, but if he's like my children, he won't be willing to sit through a long meal.

I have to say that it was also very common for them to disappear as well when we were using them....even when there were clear personal markers with them.

I know some people resort to locking them, particularly if using their own.
