I'm sure this has been asked but I'm like the world's worst person with the search function and can't find it :headache:

Are tips for the concierge host included in the prepaid tips? If not, what's the appropriate amount to tip them?

No, they are not included in the auto-gratuity. Sorry, can't give you an amount - Concierge is out of our realm.

Thanks :). Concierge would normally be out of our range too but it's my 40th birthday this year so in lieu of a party or presents, we decided to splurge :thumbsup2. Plus it's the Repo, so much cheaper than peak season. We leave for Vancouver on Friday!:dance3:

A survey maybe a year ago concerned the tip amount. A fair percentage (maybe 15-20% said "0" should be the tip, i.e. the concierge service is a perk that has already been paid with the increased fare already) while most were in the $50-$100 range. There were a few in the multi-hundreds (I think even up to $500 had been stated). So, basically, tip whatever you think their service is worth. Do not get too blurred into thinking that the standard perks are somehow specific to a specific concierge. For example, we once had a concierge who made it sound as if she SPECIFICALLY paid for the lithograph provided at the end of the cruise to concierge guests. It was a thinly veiled attempt that left a bad taste in us (luckily, she is no longer a concierge on any DCL as far as I know). Many concierge guests barely use the service of the concierge staff. I am not certain what one should leave in those situations.

Thank you so much! Wow, you would really think they'd give guidance for that. This gives me a better idea of what to bring :).

On our last cruise we tipped each of the ladies in concierge $40 a piece. One of the ladies was also our cabana host and I didn't tip there because I didn't have any cash.
