Hi All,

My first time booking at 7 months is coming up soon and I was hoping to get some tips. Hoping for a 2BR at Grand Flo, there’s still availability now.

What’s the most efficient way to book online right as things open and hopefully secure my booking? Should I have my search filled out and hit search right at the stroke of the hour? Any and all tips appreciated.

Should I consider walking?

Walking wouldn’t hurt, but be aware somebody with VGF as their home resort could “block” you by getting the future days.

For me I have to search right at 8:00 (even just “updating the current search results) in order to be able to get into booking. If I have already searched and try to book right at 8:00 it still gives me an error message about it not being 8:00.

I will say that I “walked” at Poly Lake View for the week before Christmas, in that when I checked a couple days before our 60 day window and was able to get it for a few days. Then it kept opening up as we kept getting to the next booking day. At one point we had it for 10 nights, but gave up 5 and added 6 BWV Boardwalk View nights that magically opened. Moral of this is simply that walking can work. It at least would give you some of your days and if you get “blocked” at the end at least you only have a couple to stalk / waitlist.

wouldn’t it be pretty likely that anyone with VGF as home resort would already be booked by now? You can modify at 7 months through the online portal, right, no need to call?

Likely, yes. Guaranteed, no.

You can modify online. No need to call.

I booked 2 bedroom VGF at 7 months in 2018. Today, things are different. But I always noticed that the studios and 1 bedrooms go quickly, due to lower points of course. The only place I always hard to book is BCV and BWV. Good luck.👍🏻😎

If you are flexible with dates, great. If not, I think doing some splicing and a long split stay (or multiple split stay) is super fun. If you do that, then I recommend making the hotel transition days your park days.
