Hi All,

We are going to be honeymooning in Disney World during the first week of January, which I understand is one of the busiest times for Disney World.

Other than, "Go at a less busy time" doesn't anyone have any hints, tips, or suggestions for how to best enjoy a trip to DW during one of it's busy seasons?

Thanks!

I would suggest taking advantage of Early Entry and the Extra Magic Hours. Fastpass is going to be another option.

However, when we were there this past January, you will need to get the fastpass for most popular ride when you enter the park. The passes for Sorin when we were there would be all gone for the day by mid morning. That is probably going to be your best bets. Also, be patient and go with the flow. That is about all I have from our experience last January.

Congrats on your up coming wedding :goodvibes

Here is a great plan, if you are staying at a WDW reort, the DTD Hilton or S/D resorts......

Plan an early entry day at MK (sorry no sleeping in) - leave your rsort at 7 AM and you will be in the MK park by 8:00 AM. Enjoy rides (acquire a FP for your favorite - Splash Mtn is a good one) - then have a breakfast ADR for Crystal Palace or Cindy's and tell then it is your honeymoon on the ADR.

Now for those relaxing enjoyable honeymoon mornings....Get up around 9 AM or 10 AM - relax by the resort pool, use the hot tub, and then go back to your room for a nice shower. You can order room service for a late breakfast / early lunch - or stop by the snack / take out area of your resort and bring some food back to your room.

Pick the Park on late get up mornings which have late night hours.
You can take the bus/monorail/boat (which ever you have from your resort) to the late night hour Park around 2 PM.
You will have some crowds in the afternoon - but the Park will thin out by 8 PM. You will have the Park till around 11 PM (depends on hours).

EPCOT and Disney Hollywood Studio's (DHS -> 2008 name) have great late night hours.
Have an ADR for a nice sit down dinner - again tell then on your ADR it is your honeymoon. We like Coral Reef, Garden Grill & LeCellier in EPCOT. We like 50 PT in DHS. If you like something a bit fancier - try the Brown Derby in DHS.
The Brown Derby also has the Fantasmic package seating ticket option.

A great way to add something special to your room is to pre-purchase an item from the Disney Florist. Again, tell them it is your honeymoon. http://www.ftdfloristsonline.com/waltdisneyworldflorist/

Learn to use Fastpasses. Get to the parks early. Just relax. Half of being there is just being there.
