Tips and suggestions for APEE

So my kids and I all have annual passes, and have them activated. So I was able to register for APEE for our trip in September. My husband has an AP voucher, but hasn't activated it yet. So we couldn't add him to our reservations. I am hoping that we can find a nice CM to help us out, and let him in with us. But if we can't, I want to have a backup plan.

I was thinking that the kids and I could go in and go directly to RSR, and have my husband wait at the gate and then get in line for RSR FP. Then I wanted to ride the other rides in CL. But I don't know how long that will take, and of course we will need to meet up with my husband before he gets FPs to give him our APs.

Is this an OK plan? Is it possible to ride all the rides in CL in the EE hour? If not, any suggestions on what to do? Any advice or tips would be great!:goodvibes

How far into your trip is your early entry day? If it's in the middle or later on in your trip you could try calling AP customer service the same day or day after hubby activates to see if he can be added onto your reservation. AP customer service was able to help us register during our trip, bending even the 3 day prior to event date rule.

We were able to do RSR and Mater's ride, but the flying tires were backed up. We had to take a little extra time doing child swap though for RSR. Good luck and have a great time!

Thanks for the idea! I didn't think about calling. Our APEE is the first full day. We plan on going on the day we arrive and activating his pass, so maybe we could call and see if they will help us.

Here is what we did for our APEE:

6:30am arrived at DCA
7am entry and went straight to LFT. We did this because 1)sometimes RSR is down for all or part of EE and we didn't want to chance it. 2) LFT is normally at least an hour wait. We were able to walk on during EE.

After LFT we went to TSMM and rode it two times in a row without getting off. At this point is was a little after 7:30 so we got in line for RSR. The end of the line for RSR during EE is actually ahead of the first people who were able to enter at 7:30 to line up. At around 8:10-8:15 we got our FP for RSR, then got a FP for Screamin which was disconnected. Then rode Mickey's Scary Wheel. Then we went over to ToT with a very short wait.

So we got a lot done and still got FPs for RSR. If I knew for sure that RSR would be up and running I'd go there first, but on that day I think it turned out not to be so we made a good choice. And most of the 7am crowd went there first, making the other rides less crowded. We did not go on MJJ during EE since we often saw that ride down to 20 minutes later in the afternoon. (20 min usually meant 25, we timed it. But still not so long that we wanted to take up EE time with it).

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I am curious. I have APEE next Tues, DH does not. If I followed a similar plan and got in line for RSR fast pass around 7:30...would DH be able to catch up to me and we both get a FP after 8 am?

If he enters the park at 7:30 and you went to him, you could pick up his park ticket or AP and then stand in the EE part of the FP line. Or, you could give him your AP back in the 7:30 entry FP line while you go on more rides. ;) The important thing is both tickets or APs must be scanned into the park at the entrance in order to get a FP.

Thank you PinkBudgie!!! That's exactly what I was hoping to hear. I told him he is going to have to get up (he likes to sleep in) and get to the gates to "register" his PH and then I'll hopefully take if from there. Can't wait! :thumbsup2

Thanks, I will have to think about this more. I just can't decide what to do. LOL
